The Presidency Of Jay Laylin is the official presidential term of Jay Laylin that began on November 16, 2024, when he was inaugurated as the 3rd President Of The United States Of Jesstopia. His presidency has marked the first time in Jesstopian history that the nation was led by a Republican head of state. His presidency also looks to claim untapped potential and a well rounded administrative priority list.
History[]
On October 18, 2024, Jay Laylin was elected as the very first Republican President of the United States Of Jesstopia by a margin of 158-82 vote bank points. He defeated Nationalist challenger Thomas Cooke, during the 2024 Jesstopian Presidential Election. He made history by being the very first Republican Head Of State. Since 1806, no Republican had ever occupied the Nationalist House and he will be the very first. He was sworn in as the 3rd President Of The United States Of Jesstopian at 12:05 PM on November 16, 2024.

Under President Jay Laylin, relations pertain to the economic and foreign relations between the United States Of Jesstopia and other countries. Israel[]
On November 16, 2024, just hours after taking his oath of office, Laylin signed a reversal order on the 2024 Israel Travel Ban, that was signed by his predecessor on April 5, 2024. This was one of the major promises that Laylin made on the campaign trail and followed through exactly as he promised. The order will authorize Israeli travelers, family members and nationals to enter the country again.
Russia[]
On November 18, 2024, President Laylin issued that sanctions on Russia would remain in place until Russia made a tentative agreement to end the war between itself and Ukraine. This call comes as the world looks for force the end of the Russo-Ukraine war that has been ongoing since February 2022.
On December 8, 2024, a treaty between the United States Of Jesstopia and Russia was signed to formally end the war between the two countries. The Jesstopian government had been working towards ending the war for the last year and half, but were unsuccessful. President Laylin had sat down with ministers to the President Vladimir Putin met with the Laylin transition team, and expressed great support for a formal peace treaty between both countries.
Economy[]
Under President Jay Laylin, he promises to fix crippling inflation by regulating the amount of money that is being printed, forcing tariff's on countries that use Jesstopian ports to do business and enshrine "taxation on all imports." The economy is was a major concern during the 2024 Jesstopian Presidential Election and the Nationalist Party failed to deliver a strong economic recovery plan.
2024 Inflation Reduction Act[]
On November 19, 2024, Laylin proposed the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act. The act actively seeks to artificially lower the inflation rate for a temporary amount of time. President Laylin issued this act proposal, to help lower the rate of inflation until mid-late 2025. The act will work by lowering the cost of everyday items including gas, food, clothing, healthcare, and medication prescriptions.
On November 27, 2024, President Laylin released his bill proposal to leaders of both the House and Senate, and requested a speedy vote on the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, which he will use to reduce the rate of inflation, make gas, groceries and living cheaper and easier for Jesstopian families. He is also working to restore Jesstopia's economy to 1.2% inflationary rate.
On January 8, 2025, the House voted to in a vote of 299 to 212, to pass the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, with 85 Nationalists supporting the act. All Republicans supported the act in the House. It was then referred to the Senate where it passed 52 - 28 on January 10, 2025. All but 2 Republican senators supported the bill. Jay Laylin signed the act into law on January 10, 2025, at 11:30 PM. The act didn't get much fanfare, but it will play a major role in the economic and spending policy of the country.
2024 Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act[]
He also introduced the Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act. The act will work to cut wasteful government spending, including sending money to foreign nations, with the help of the oversight of the Department Of The Treasury. Inflation is at an all time high, and that is inpart, due to reckless Nationalist spending, that has crippled the paychecks of hard working, hard earning Jesstopians, who are now struggling to feed their families.
The same day that the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act was sent to Congress, Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act was also sent to Congress, which will work alonside the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act to help ease inflation on Jesstopian families and allow prices to naturally fall to affordable levels. The House is currently working to debate the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act. President Laylin is hopeful that it passes quickly so he can start providing Jesstopian families some much needed financial relief.
2024 Spending Transparency Act[]
On November 19, 2024, he introduced his Spending Transparency Act of 2024. This act will require all spending proposals to be as transparent as possible, and where possible, require Government sponsors to disclose where and when the money is going to be spent. This act will help maintain accountability of where government is spending taxpayer money
Immigration And Border Security[]
On immigration, President Jay Laylin is set to enforce strict penalties for illegals entering through any land border, water port, or any port of entry controlled by the Jesstopian Border Agency. President Laylin announced that he will not allow children of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States Of Jesstopia, as the law current stands, furthering the divide between members of Congress, the vote to codify this regulatory practice into law.
Detainment, Processing And Deportation Of Illegal Immigrants[]
Other sources say President Laylin would sign travel bans for all immigrants and migrants from around the world, increasing Jesstopian Border Protection Agency patrols along Jesstopia's borders and the island states. Further, federal funding will be introduced into floor proceedings of both the House and Senate where law makers are likely to vote on the legislation.
Ending Immigration And Asylum Grants[]
On November 19, 2024, to combat mass illegal immigration, Laylin signed an order authorizing the Department of Homeland Security, Department Of Border Protection and Jesstopian Border Protection Agency to begin mass detaining, processing and deporting illegal immigrants, with 75% of illegal immigrants coming from Mexico and Venezuela, with about 15% of those here coming from Cuba. He then authorized the immediate suspension of the processing of asylum and immigration applications, to provide the Department Of Homeland Security more resources to find and deport illegals. He then shutdown the Jesstopian Borders to all immigrants attempting to enter the country. He authorized the Jesstopian Border Protection Agency to strictly search vehicles and vessels coming into the country from foreign nations as well.
Troop Deployment To Aid Immigration Enforcement[]
On November 29, 2024, Laylin sent 100,000 troops to the Jesstopian border entrances, ports of entry including all major international shipping ports, airports, train stations and any vulnerable point of entry into the country. He send a funding package to Congress to aid in hiring more border agents, officials and to allow border officials to fund border programs for immigrants and illegals already in the country.
Funding 18 Billion Dollars For Border Security And Deportation Efforts[]
On December 3, 2024, President Laylin announced a proposal to Congress to authorize 18 billion dollars to use towards deporting 25 million illegal immigrants across the country. He vowed that if Congress doesn't give him the money that he would use executive authority to declare a state of emergency to access over hundreds of billions of dollars to use towards deporting illegals, and severing entry to the United States Of Jesstopia permanently for illegal immigrants.
LGBTQ & Transgender Community[]
Temporarily Reversing Legislation Allowing Trans Persons To Use Opposite Sex Bathrooms[]
On November 20, 2024, President Laylin signed several executive orders to prevent biological males and females from using the opposite gender's bathroom. The executive orders were signed to temporarily reverse previous legislation that was passed to allow men and women's restrooms to be used by transgender individual, something that Laylin heavily opposed during his time as Senate Minority Leader. He signed several executive orders barring Congress from passing any legislation supporting transgender ideology.
On November 27, 2024, President Laylin signed restrictions on gender Affirming surgeries for those who identify as "transgender." The President said that he won't support "extremism in the form of the transgender community." The Director Of The Department Of Health, Dr. Jose Priya, said that allowing free transition surgeries is clogging up the funding needed to help Jesstopians across the country with no health insurance. He said that it is also causing high inflation, as money is being given to clinics that are performing these surgeries.
Barring Biological Males From Competing In Women's Sports[]
On November 28, 2024, Laylin signed Executive Orders 300.061 and 300.062, which temporarily barred biological males from competing in women's sports, which drew both criticism and applause. The executive orders have made temporary long-term restrictions on males competing in women's sports, and includes any transgenders who "identify as their opposite sex."
Temporarily Banning Transgender Ideology Teachings In Schools[]
On December 5, 2024, President Laylin initiated the first phase of his planned banned on teaching transgender ideology in educational institutions, regardless of type of school. The temporary ban extends to 2026. He hopes to have a full, hard ban signed into law by the end of this year.
Banning Schools From Participating In LGBTQ Related Events[]
On January 5, 2025, Laylin signed Executive Action 0005, and executive orders 300.101 through 300.103, which temporarily banned schools from participating in or holding LGBTQ based activities, clubs, sporting events, public gatherings, discussion, promotion or teaching of LGBTQ ideology. On January 6, 2025, just a day after he issued the temporary ban, House Nationalists announced that they would challenge the ban in the Supreme Court. House Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington issued that he would reject any motion to file an appeal with the Supreme Court, on issues that are not either written law or documented case law.
Energy[]
On December 3, 2024, President Laylin announced that he was reopening 250 oil drilling sites to lower the cost of gas at the pump, by authorizing the internal drilling of Jesstopia oil, as well as authorizing the use of hydraulic fracturing(fracking), which has been previously up for debate in the United States Of America.

On December 4, 2024, just a little after midnight, President Laylin announced that he was investing 8 billion dollars into school safety program 'SafetySchools' which will work to ensure that schools across the country have access to school safety grants to use to beefing up school security systems including law enforcement contracts, door and security locking systems, as well as other types of school safety techniques.
Impeachment Efforts Against President Jay Laylin[]
On January 8, 2025, Representative and Former House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf announced that she was seeking to impeach President Jay Laylin on the grounds that he contributed to the injury of thousands of illegal immigrants who were attacked by Pro-Deportation groups, thus causing mass chaos. She calls the attacks incitement of violence against another person. She calls on him to resign and announced that she was proposing an impeachment inquiry against the President, drawing annoyance from both Republicans and Nationalists alike. Several Nationalist Senators, Representatives and Senate and House leadership announced they won't support the effort, citing "no due cause for it." On November 14, 2025, Gretchen LeWolf announced that she was no longer seeking an impeachment inquiry against the President.
