The State Of New Shire is one of the original 13 states of the United States Of Jesstopia. The State Of New Shire was the first state entered into the Jesstopian Republic. Geography[]
New Shire State's geography is quite unique, as a majority of the State is flat, with only a select few portions being mountainous. The State is shaped like a sauce pan, and is mostly flat with in the Center Portions of the State. The Capital Of New Shire is Rufus County. The State is known for its Oak and Dark Oak Trees. The State is also known for its rapid growth and rapid expansion. The State's geographic location allow for mass transit of goods, and interstate transport. The State is bordered by North Lorray to the South, Acacia to the North and Lorray to the West.

The Government Of The State Of New Shire is comprised of two houses, and several executive offices that make up the entirety it. The Executive Chamber Of New Shire contains the Office Of Governor and Lt. Governor which are the two people that are New Shire's Heads Of State. They answer to the State Assembly which is comprised of the Senate and State House. It was formed on January 1810 and was institutionalized on May 10, 1810.

Officials Of New Shire's Government are elected as required by New Shire's Constitution. Offices such as Governor and Lt. Governor are elected every two years on May 10 of Election Year.

The Governor Of New Shire is the Executive Authority who operates and directs the Government Of New Shire. The Governor works with the Lieutenant Governor to ensure that daily work is performed and the duties of the Governor are carried if the Incumbent resigns, is impeached, or is unable to carry out the duties of Governor. The Current Governor Of New Shire is Lynn Rodgers, who assumed office on May 10, 2024.

The Lieutenant Governor Of New Shire is the second in command with limited Executive Authority in the State Of New Shire. The duties of the Lieutenant is to assist the governor with tasks that would be unorthodox to the duties and traditional customs of the Governor. The current Lt. Governor Of New Shire is David Rivera.
