The Mesa Highway Patrol is the official State Law Enforcement agency of the State Of Mesa. The agency is a state-wide law enforcement agency that has main Jurisdiction on Mesa Highways, and around the State. The agency is split among 50 patrol zones, and is patrolled by over 1.2 million patrolmen and civilian employees.
History[]
The Mesa Highway Patrol was founded in February of 1915. The Agency was established mainly to prevent crimes having to do with Drugs and Weapons. They initial agency was formed to act as the current day Drug Enforcement Division of the Mesa Highway Patrol. They worked closely with undercover officers of the Agency to ensure Narcotics weren't being shipped in and out of State.

Trooper Marco Chimento | November 1, 2022 | Trooper Marco Chimento and Trooper Kirt Oslow were attempting to conduct a routine traffic stop on 50-year-old Kevin O'Latter, when he exited his vehicle shooting both troopers in the head and torso. Leadership[]
The Mesa Highway Patrol's leadership is combined of a Commissioner and a Deputy Commissioner. These individuals are responsible for leading the agency successfully and conform to the values of the Mesa Highway Patrol and achieve operation success.
Commissioner Of The MHP[]
The current Commissioner of the Mesa Highway Patrol is Lewis Donaldson. He was appointed the Commissioner of the MHP on April 23, 2022 and has served in the role since. He appointed Deputy Commissioner Gregory Markel.
Deputy Commissioner Of The MHP[]
The current Deputy Commissioner of the Mesa Highway Patrol is Gregory Markel. He was appointed by Commissioner Lewis Donaldson.
Budget[]
The annual budget for the Mesa Highway Patrol, as of a 2022 audit, was valued to be more than 156 Billion Dollars, which includes the cost of fleet maintenance, staffing Control Centers, Squad Cars and Other Subdivisions and Programs.
