Kirk G Paul(February 21, 1982 - June 27, 2024) was a Jesstopian Television personality and retired politician who served as the host of the Political evening talk show, Alden Prime Time from July 15, 2023 until he stepped down on November 5, 2023. He previously served as the 19th Governor of Mesa from November 20, 2021 until May 9, 2023. He also served as Mesa's Representative For The 85th Congressional District from 2005 until 2021. Paul launched his Gubernatorial Campaign in August 2021, and was nominated as the Republican candidate on November 13, 2021.[1] Paul died at Nox City Medical Center on June 27, 2024.

Early Life[]

Kirk Paul was born in Burton, Mesa. He was born to Mother Susan Paul and Simon Paul. Paul has 4 brothers and 2 sisters whom he considers his support system. Paul graduated from Kentonville City High School. His family lives far and wide across the United States Of Jesstopia. When he died, family from New Shire and North Lorray were by his side.

Personal Life[]

Kirk Paul married his wife, high school sweet heart Alexis Paul. She is the former First Honorable Lady Of Mesa. They have 3 children together. Matt Paul, Alex Paul and Lisa Paul. Matt was a 2022 High School Graduate and was attending business school before his death on October 23, 2022. Alex is a 2023 High School Graduate and plans on attending law school. On August 31, 2022, it was announced that Paul and his wife Alexis were pregnant. According doctors, Alexis Paul hasn't shown any changes to her Physical appearance but say she is going to be a mom of a baby girl, according to hormonal readings. Paul says he can't wait to be a dad of a baby girl, and said that two teen boys was enough.[2]

On May 12, 2023, Alexis gave birth to Lisa Paul. She says that she is beyond grateful for her baby girl. Paul said that he can't wait to watch her grow up.

Education and Career[]

Graduating from State University Of Mesa's School Of Politics, Paul obtained his Masters in Political Sciences, Political Strategies and Government Planning. On September 19, 2005, Paul launched his campaign for a stint as Mesa's Representative for the 85th District Of Mesa. Upon winning the seat, Paul continued his career leading and representing Mesa's 85th Congressional district.

On June 28, 2023, it was announced during an episode of Alden Prime Time, that Paul officially retired from politics to focus on hosting Alden Prime Time, and to focus on other interests.[3][4]

Congressional Representative(2005-2021)[]

Kirk Paul served as Mesa's 85th District's Congressional Representative from September 19, 2005 until November 18, 2021 when he was nominated as the Republican candidate as Mesa's 19th Governor. He resigned formally on November 18, 2021, on the day of the 2021 Mesa Gubernatorial Election. If Paul loses the election, by State law and Federal Regulation, his seat remains 'frozen' until about 14 days after a candidate loses election to an office, position or agency, but does not make a decision whether to resign or reinstate Congressional Authority.

2021 Gubernatorial Candidacy[]

Kirk Paul sought and won election as Mesa's 19th Governor. His campaign was launched in August of 2021, and concluded on November 18, 2021 following the commencement of election day which was held from 7:30 PM est until 11:00 PM est.

2024 Gubernatorial Candidacy[]

On April 22, 2022, Paul registered as 2024 Mesa Gubernatorial Candidate. The news comes hours after he was finally registered as a candidate during the 2024 Mesa Gubernatorial Elections.[5] On July 12, 2022, Governor Kirk Paul's 2024 Gubernatorial campaign was formally rejected, as required by the State constitution and several federal statutes[6], after announcing that he would run for the Presidency in 2024. On October 10, 2022, he was confirmed again as Gubernatorial candidate about two months after he dropped out of the 2024 Presidential Race.

Governor Of Mesa(2021-2023)[]

On November 20, 2021, Kirk Paul was sworn in as Mesa's 19th Governor. On November 19, 2021, Kirk Paul was declared the victor of the 2021 Mesa Gubernatorial Election.[7] He was sworn in as the 19th Governor of Mesa on November 20, 2021. He left office on May 9, 2023, after resigning from office.

Controversies[]

Anti-Trans Movement[]

On April 8, 2023, Paul signed 2 executive orders which negatively targeted the State's Transgender Community. In it, he expressed that schools would be criminally charged for teaching Trans-Ideology in schools, state-wide. Many pro-Trans groups have called on him to resign, citing "an failure of the Governor to protect our rights as trans, a promise he made when he ran for office back in 2021." President John McCallum, called Paul's decision to push those orders forward a failure to "protect the vulnerable."

2022 Governor's Mansion Bombing[]

On April 11, 2023, it was revealed that the State Supreme Court would be launching a formal investigation into July 23, 2022 bombings and Paul's involvement thereof.[8]

Firing Attorney General Brittany Martin[]

On April 13, 2023, Paul announced via the Governor's Website that Attorney General Brittany Martin would be terminated effective April 20, 2023. According to Paul, she "failed to uphold her duties and fairly and faithfully execute her duties as Attorney General to the State of Mesa."

Calls For Resignation[]

On July 7, 2022, a shooter opened fire at church goers at Alden Christina Church of Jesus Christ where 5 were killed. Since then Paul has received multiple calls for him to resign.[9][10]The Governor didn't respond to these calls to step down.

On April 25, 2023, after much pressure and his impending recall and potential impeachment, Paul announced via the Governor's Website, that effective on May 9, 2023, he would be resigning as Governor of the State of Mesa. His tenure will official end on May 9, 2023, and Lt. Governor Joshua Adamson would be taking over as the State's 20th Governor. Paul will carry out his remaining duties until then and he will not be hosting the 2023 Pardons and Commutation ceremony for 2023.

Recalls[]

On April 11, 2023, it was revealed that the State Legislature had voted to Recall Paul, and that a second vote would be required to approve the Recall Election. If it passes, Governor Paul is facing removal from office. He will be the first Governor in over 50 years to be recalled. This comes after his anti-trans policies.[11][12]

On April 12, 2023, after much deliberation, the Mesa Legislature voted to hold a Recall Election to Recall Paul. He will face a recall and potentially face removal from office. The date of the election, is June 5, 2023. On May 8, 2023, The Mesa Legislature officially cancelled the June 5 recall election, in response to the resignation of Paul, on April 25, 2023.

Activating The Drug And Weapon Task Force[]

On July 10, 2022, Paul announced that the State would be activating the State's Official Drug and Weapons task force.[13]Paul signed an executive order that activated the task force.[14]

Spearheading The Mesa Governor's Mansion Bombing Investigation[]

On July 23, 2022, a bomb exploded at the Mesa Governor's Mansion, killing 2 people.[15]Governor Kirk Paul announced that he would be spearheading the investigation and said that "he will not give up until someone answers for the senseless deaths of 2 people.

Transferring Power To Lt. Governor Adamson[]

On October 19, 2022, Paul announced that he would be transferring gubernatorial power temporarily to Lt. Governor Joshua Adamson to focus on his son Matt's health condition.[16] It also comes after the announcement that Matt may not survive.[17] Early in the morning on October 23, 2022, Paul announced that Matt had died.[18]

Winter Storm Ashley Response[]

On November 17, 2022, Paul announced that schools would be closed until Sunday, November 20, 2022, but he announced schools may be closed longer. Paul also announced the activation of the State's emergency response team, the national guard and the activation of snow plows, crews, and supervisors. Paul is praised for his quick response to the storm, by providing substantial resources to the effected parts of the states. He also provided food, water and resources for residents who ran out of power during the storm.

On November 21, 2022, Paul announced that state schools would reopen for in-person instruction. He announced that the state is providing guidance for schools statewide on their reopening plans.[19]

Alden Prime Time(2023-2024)[]

On May 18, 2023, Paul accepted a job offer to host the Alden Prime Time show. He was approached following his resignation on May 9, 2023, by Executive Producer Eddy Walward who said that he would make a great host for the show. According to sources, Paul said he "was raised on Alden Prime Time." He will host the show starting on July 15, 2023, with his contract starting on June 1, 2023.

As of May 19, 2023, he is considered an employee of the JTV's Alden Prime Time and thus he is now considered the host of the show. His official first day of hosting the show won't be until July 15, 2023.

He served as the Host from July 15, 2023 up until he resigned amid a racist comment on one show, on November 5, 2023. He remained an integral part of the channel as he owned 82% of the network. He lost his control of the network immediately following his death on June 25, 2024.

Controversies[]

October 2023 Racism Incident[]

On October 8, 2023, it was announced that Alden Prime Time was facing a lawsuit from multiple viewers and several former Alden Prime Time employees, for a racist comment Paul made during a show on October 7, 2023. He is facing criticism from the public. An investigation is currently ongoing.

Return To Politics[]

On February 3, 2024, Paul announced that he would be returning to politics in 2026, something that Republicans felt would inevitably happen, given his stature within the State. Paul said that he was eyeing to return to the Governor's Office. He says he is open to other offices but says his goal is to get put back in the Governor's Office.

2024 Presidential Candidacy[]

On July 4, 2022, Paul announced that he would be launching a Presidential campaign during the 2024 Presidential Elections. He announced his plans early in the morning on July 4, 2022.[20] On August 9, 2022, after consideration, Paul announced that he would not continue to seek the Presidency in 2024.[21]

Notable Works[]

Over the span of almost 25 years, Kirk Paul has worked hard for the people of Mesa. He has worked on many bills proposed to ensure equal pay is granted to both men and women. He has also worked to provide federal and state assistance to low income families in times of Crisis such as during the outbreak of COVID-19., and many natural disasters. Mr. Paul has also worked hard and in support of the Special Olympics in the United States Of Jesstopia.

As Governor, Paul has served as an ambassador to SmokeLess, a foundation against the sale of tobacco products to High School Students. He announced that he will be visiting every single high school in the state to raise awareness of the epidemic affecting millions of Mesians, Statewide.

Governor Paul is known for working with the State's Special Olympics organization. He has worked with the Special Olympics since he was a teenager, and donated millions to the foundation to fund the events the Special Olympics hosts for its Special Needs Athletes. On April 18, 2022, he was named a member of the Special Olympics Committee. He has served as a Board of Directors for the Special Olympics.[22]

June 25 Shooting[]

On June 25, 2024, at approximately 1:49 AM, Paul was shot by an unnamed assailant who was quickly apprehended by Mesa Highway Patrol troopers. He was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. [23] The suspect is refusing to cooperate with police or investigators.[24] At around noon, he was transferred to Nox City Medical Center[25] where he underwent surgeries to repair damaged heart tissue and lung tissue. They repaired his heart and got the bleeding there to stop. However, they were unable to repair his damaged lungs.[26] They said about 85% of his right lung was collapsed and about 73% of his left was collapsed. They attempted to to place chest tubes into his ribcage to help drain excess blood and air, but were unable to re-expand the lungs.

Death And State Funeral[]

On June 27, 2024, Paul was surrounded by family who said their final goodbyes as he was removed from life support around 6:30 PM. He laid unconscious, before he passed away at 7:25 PM.[27] His death has been upgraded to a Felony Murder Of A Government Official which carries the death penalty in Mesa. He will receive a state funeral for his services as the State's 19th Governor.[28] Across the country, following the announcement of his death, flags were lowered by most states.[29][30]

The State Funeral Of Kirk Paul was held from June 29, 2024 through July 1, 2024. The funeral was announced on June 29, 2024, early in the morning, and was scheduled for July 1, 2024, with his body lying in state on June 30, 2024 at the Mesa Governor's Mansion. His actual funeral was held on Monday July 1, 2024.

Starting on Saturday, June 30, 2024, Kirk Paul's casket was transported to the Governor's Mansion on Alden Avenue, in downtown Alden, Mesa. His body laid in state there while over 2.6 million visitors came to pay their respects to the late Governor, who was murdered in cold blood on June 25, 2024 at his private hotel room. Starting at 9:00 AM, on July 1, 2024, his funeral will take place, and his final rites will be given, before his body lays in state again until Tuesday morning when he is buried on his family farm, surrounded by his family and friends and some former colleagues. President John McCallum, was invited and no word on whether he will attend or not has been given at this point.

On July 1, 2024, Paul was buried at his family's farm, and was buried in a grave next to the headstone of his, still-alive wife Alexis Paul. His religious rites were read and his casket was splashed with holy water before it was lowered into his grave. The family requested privacy during the event and security and police surrounded the burial to prevent press from getting in.
