Joshua Vera Smite(June 9, 1965) is a Jesstopian media host, newscaster and public information specialist, who served as the 3rd Nationalist House Press Secretary from 2022 to 2024. He has over 30+ years of experience in public information reporting. He served as a news anchor during his 30 year career.
News 28(1984-1985)[]
Smite worked fro News 28 from December 18, 1984 until his resignation on April 6, 1985, after being offered a job at Jesstopian News Network. He worked at News 28 as both a cameraman than later as daily news anchor.
Jesstopian News Network(1985-2010)[]
Smite was hired by Jesstopian News Network on April 6, 1985 and had a successful career with the network. On January 21, 2010, Smite announced that he would step back from anchoring evening and nightly news to focus on his own investigative journalism, more particularly, American and Russian politics. By December 25, 2009, Smite had begin his search for a replacement. By January 15, 2010, Smite had worked with the network for his replacement, current Nighttime host, Robbie Alberta.
Investigative Journalism(2010-2022)[]
On January 29, 2010, Smite begin his career in Investigative Journalism. He begin work at Smite Journalism, a company that he founded. Smite Journalism only has two employees, himself and his wife. He is slated to become the 3rd Nationalist House Press Secretary on December 16, 2022. He will serve as the Press Secretary until November 16, 2024.
3rd Nationalist House Press Secretary(2022-2024)[]
On December 11, 2022, it was announced that Smite was selected to serve as the 3rd Nationalist House Press Secretary. He succeeded Lynn Rodgers on December 16, 2022. During his tenure, Smite has been relatively regarded as the "Quiet Kid" of the Nationalist House Press Team. He usually remains quiet about hard topics and avoids questions about the 2023 Gaza Airstrike, as well as the ongoing battle between President McCallum and Congress about the War Declaration against Palestine. He departed office on November 16, 2024, when Jay Laylin was sworn in for his term and Nancy Yates assumed office.
