Jay Evan Laylin(June 23, 1990) is a Jesstopian Politician who has served as the 3rd and current President Of The United States Of Jesstopia since 2024. Laylin previously served as a Senator from the 54th District of New Shire in the Jesstopian Senate from 2011 to 2024. He stepped down from the Senate and as the Senate Minority Leader on March 31, 2024. He announced his departure on March 27, 2024 to focus on his Presidential campaign. On July 3, 2024, he was named the Republican Party's presumptive Presidential nominee after Lola Evans announced that she was dropping out of the race.
History[]
Birth and Early Life[]
Jay Laylin was born on June 23, 1990 in North Point, New Shire to parents Evan Laylin and Martha Laylin During his early years, Laylin was a very happy kid who enjoyed playing Hockey and Football. During his childhood, he and his best friend Robert Leeman, played for the New Shire Soccer Club, an elite Soccer Club where only the best of the best were even considered for membership. During his time with the NSSC, Leeman became super popular. Laylin was very nerdy and was not as popular, but played Soccer better. Over time, Leeman and Laylin became less and less close. By the time Laylin was in 5th Grade, both Leeman and Laylin broke off their friendship. Leeman, who is now a Professional Spleef Player for the North Lorray Hornets, a professional National Spleef League team. By the time Laylin was in 12th Grade, his passion for sports diminished fully, and he became focused on his school work and working to Graduate as the top of his class in North Point.
Secondary Education[]
Jay Laylin attended the North Point Central School District from September 1995 until June 2007. During his time at NPCSD, Laylin was part of several Political Science and Business Management classes, which opened a path for him later in life. In 9th Grade, Laylin joined the Business Ventures Class where he would often participate in mock business meetings. These mock business meetings were held with the help of local businesses, and were judged by Chief Executives of some of the worlds largest Retail Chains and Businesses. He won 2 Business Understanding and a Business Management Proficiency Award.
During his College studies, Laylin studied at Zankburg University. He moved away from business studies and focused solely on obtaining his Major in Political Sciences. He graduated the top of his class and as the overall Business Honors student. He graduated with his Masters in Political Sciences, and also graduated with a Bachelors and Political Campaigning.

Senator[]
On August 10, 2011, Jay Laylin announced his candidacy as a Republican Party Senator for Congress. During that time, he just graduated College with several awards, honors and degrees. He campaigned in every town, city and county in New Shire. He established himself as a kind, sympathetic person who cared for the best interest of the Jesstopian people. On December 21, 2011, Laylin became the 41st Senator for New Shire's 54th District. He resigned his seat on March 31, 2024
Senate Minority Leader[]
Laylin has served as Senate Minority Leader since December 27, 2011, after being appointed by the Republican Party Minority Leader. His term in set expire in 2024 as he will seek the Presidency in 2024. Laylin during his tenure in the Senate, has been instrumental in thousands of immigration and economic bills being passed unanimously. He opposed aid being sent to Ukraine at the start of 2022. He continued to show his displeasure for Jesstopia sending aid to Ukraine. He proposed cutting funding to Ukraine, citing "the country and ours are two separate. We have Jesstopians struggling at home and we are responsible for them. We are not responsible for sending them aid and continuing to support their war effort."
On December 27, 2011, the Senate voted Laylin to serve as its Senate Minority leader, a role he has served in since 2011. He was up for and won reelection to the role in 2014, 2018, and 2022. His current term in expected to expire in 2026, but he is not actively seeking to continue in that role, and the Senate authorized a special election to take place in 2023, so that when he does resign, a replacement Minority leader will be able to immediately take over.
This year, he is expected to launch a vote to determine if an impeach inquiry is still necessarily required as new evidence suggests that President John McCallum is likely innocent. He is also expected to propose several new bills that he is co-sponsoring alongside Rep. Agnus Rodgers(R-MS). He said in a recent press statement regarding the delay of the McCallum trial that, "proceedings will likely continue, but a guilty verdict may be very unlikely." Laylin was a strong criticizer of the President when the allegations were first announced.
On March 31, 2024, he stepped down as the Senate Minority Leader and resigned from the Senate to focus on his 2024 Presidential Campaign.
2024 Presidential Campaign[]
Following the death of Sam Simon on January 13, 2023, Laylin became ineligible to run as Simon's vice president and announced that he would run for President on January 15, 2023, 2 days after Simon's death. He promised to run in honor of Simon's life long dedication to public service.[1] He said that his Presidential campaign will run on the slogan of "Back To The People". The slogan was selected by Laylin to represent that Government officials should work for the Jesstopian people and not the people serving the Government. Back To The People was designated to return the Government back to the people who elect their officials.

On May 6, 2023, Laylin formally launched his Presidential campaign, first scheduling rallies in New Shire and the working his way to South Lorray. He has expressed continued interest in Nox City, an heavily Nationalist controlled city, and a city that could make or break his campaign. On May 9, 2023, he launched his official website which can be found at jaylaylin.net. He also launched an official app, which can be bought on the App Store and Google Play Store.
May 2023 Rallies[]
- On May 12, 2023, Laylin kicked off his rallying at Monroe, New Shire. There he appeased to many of his donors, supporters and fellow party members. He spoke on the hardships facing the United States Of Jesstopia and what he would need to do to prevent economic collapse. He issued that he would establish a brand new federal healthcare, retirement and retiree benefit program to replace the aging Personal Identification Program that has seen severe failures in the last 10 years.
- On May 16, 2023, Laylin visited North Point, New Shire where he worked to gain support from farmers and factory workers, by appeasing to their need for more metal grinding facilities which are illegal within the United States Of Jesstopia, and require special permits and licenses to open such facilities. He said that if he was elected in 2024, he would repeal the federal law and to allow vast expansion of the metal grinding sector.
- On May 16, 2023, Laylin visited his his father's hometown of Greenwich, New Shire. There he received a very strong welcome and issued that he would improve Greenwich's farming capabilities and ensure that the farming town received the tools, equipment and funding to prosper long into the future.
- On May 18, 2023, Laylin rallied in Cornfeld, New Shire and spoke about Thomas Cooke's failures as Governor and how he would be a devastating force if allowed to run the Nationalist House. He received support from mega Republican donors who say they will donate Laylin all the way to the Nationalist House.
Polling[]
On December 28, 2023, reports showed that in a Chronister poll, Laylin was leading Nationalist front runner Thomas Cooke, by 8 points, taking the first step towards a major victory. Other polls show that he is leading by 25 points, a massive difference. Thomas Cooke has been falling behind in polls as his role as New Shire's Governor has seen a decrease in the amount of people entering his state.
From April 2022 up until November 2022, Laylin was far beyond Cooke with a lead of over 100 points, something that had remained relatively consistent since he announced his candidacy back in 2021. Laylin creeped slowly up to be second in terms of poll rankings and it was clear that Laylin was gaining traction. By December 5, 2021, Laylin was behind Thomas Cooke in polls by 250 points. He was well ahead of the other Republicans and Nationalists who announced their campaigns around the same time. From June 1, 2023 on he has remained heavily popular among voters, who say they wouldn't mind seeing a Republican President getting elected.
On September 3, 2024, polls showed Laylin had a percentage polling rate of between 5 and 24 percentage points. Most polls have him within the 5-12 range with only one poll showing him leading by 24 points. The data has showed a steady trend towards him being more popular with voters than Thomas Cooke who is polling just the opposite. When conducting a tally of his history, Cooke still polls way ahead of Laylin.
On October 3, 2024, polls still showed Laylin had a major lead in all polls. Experts say that Laylin is likely to retain the polling lead ahead of election day, but says Thomas Cooke could have a chance to make that up after election day, as post-electoral bumps in polling popularity. The data showed that while they both are ranking lower in polls than in September 2024, Laylin is still very much ahead and that will remain ahead of election day on October 16, 2024.
Nomination[]
On July 3, 2024, following weeks of warding off calls to drop out of the Presidential race, Lola Evans conceded her candidacy following major defeats and major polls across the country. Following her announcement of her withdrawal from the race, Laylin automatically became the presumptive nominee for the Republican party through the default system.
Rally Suspensions[]
On July 15, 2024, Both Thomas Cooke's and Jay Laylin's campaigns agreed to stop rallying in response to former US President Donald Trump's assassination attempt. Both campaigns made an agreement and both parties signed it.[2] Both party's agreed that if they want to hold a rally it must be done virtually.[3]
Firing Of 2024 Campaign Manager And Other Campaign Staff[]
On August 7, 2024, Jay Laylin announced the firing of his campaign manager Richard Valdez, as well as dozens of other campaign staff including Campaign Chief Strategist Timothy Smith, who had served his campaign manager since 2022.[4] Laylin replaced Valdez with Marcus Mitchel who worked on campaigns for Cole Bindle.[5] President McCallum called internal "civil war", very "scary."[6]
2024 Presidential Candidate Age Raising[]
On July 26, 2024, Congress announced that it had passed an amendment to raise the age of Presidential Candidates, requiring all candidates to be 35 instead of the previously used 29 year age requirement. However, when it passed, the new age requirement could have ended Laylin's Presidential bid. By the grace of House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf, he was given the green light to carry on his campaign. LeWolf cited that "he was already registered and approved as a Presidential Candidate before the new age requirement went into affect." He resumed his campaign the very next day, and in front of millions of supporters, issued a video message thanking LeWolf for her kindness and allowing democracy to carry on. Many of his supporters clapped and cheered.
September 2024 Assassination Attempt[]
On September 3, 2024, while he and his family were sleeping, a shooter opened fire on his home, shooting out windows, and causing extensive damage to the exterior of his house. Luckily, PPS agents were able to get the family out without injury. Several prominent political figures denounced the shooting including Thomas Cooke, John McCallum and Sharona Maples who all vowed to find and punish the shooter. Laylin and his family were removed to a undisclosed, safe location.
October 2024 Assassination Attempt[]
On October 21, 2024, while traveling in his motorcade to a speaking event in Nox City, North Lorray, a gunman opened fire on the motorcade, striking Laylin’s limousine. The Presidential Protective Service shot and killed the shooter, prompting cheers and applause from bystanders. Investigators now believe that the shooter had a long history of anger problems, but investigators say that has yet to be proven. They are not ruling that out as a possible cause.
2025 Towton Assassination Attempt[]
On January 12, 2025, while preparing to speak to a crowd of steel workers at a steel workers union event, an unknown suspect was able to get near President Lalin and fired, striking Laylin in the face. He was rushed to the hospital where he is receiving care. An investigation was launched by the Presidential Protective Service, Federal Investigation Service and the New Shire State Police.
Nationalist Party Support[]
Over 25 Nationalists have jumped off the Thomas Cooke caucus and voiced public and private support for Jay Laylin's presidency. Laylin, who has long been abhorred by the Nationalist Party. Since becoming one of the main candidates for the Presidency, many Nationalists say they 'grew tired of Thomas Cooke's repeating policy position with no real plan.' Thomas Cooke has lost marginal support from some of his once-avid supporters, who claimed that "he needs to reevaluate his campaign strategy."
2024 Presidential Town Hall[]

On October 6, 2024, Laylin hosted a town hall at New Shire's capital. During the town hall he took dozens of questions from Nationalist, Republican and unsure voters and was reportedly the better performing candidate. He was praised for directly answering all of the questions he was given and was seen doing better in post-town hall polls.
Post town hall coverage also revealed that he did much better taking more questions from Nationalist voters than Republican voters, and the records show he took 36% more Nationalist voters questions than Republican voters, but managed to take 21% more unsure voter questions than Republican questoins.
He has quickly risen his poll numbers by being transparent on his answers. During the town hall there were times he didn't have an answer for questions, and directly reflected his lack of knowledge of the topics, which many saw it as transparency at the highest level.

On October 17, 2024, the Federal Elections Board Projected Laylin to be the next President of the United States Of Jesstopia after reviewing vote data.[7] Regardless if Laylin or Cooke wins either one of those states, Laylin has far more vote bank points that Cooke and either way, Laylin remains the projected winner.[8]
Election As The 3rd President Of The United States Of Jesstopia[]
On October 18, 2024, Porter sent its Vote Bank Points to Jay Laylin. He was declared the winner of the 2024 Presidential Election at 2:07 AM.[9][10][11][12]Laylin spoke with supporters in Alden, and thanked them for their support and to lay out the plans he has for the next four years.[13][14]

On November 16, 2024, Jay Laylin was sworn in as the 3rd President Of The United States, succeeding John McCallum. Laylin vowed to work for "all Jesstopians" during his inaugural speech at the Jesstopian capitol. He was sworn in alongside Vice President Cole Bindle. He held his first press conference as President at 2:00 PM on November 16, 2024.

On November 16, 2024, Laylin was sworn into office as the 3rd President of the United States of Jesstopia. His oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Gerald Hawthrodd at 12:05 PM. His vice president Cole Bindle's oath was administered at 12:00 PM. He has accomplished a lot during his first day including talking to foreign leaders in Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, Iran, and Hamas. He also spoke with US President Joe Biden, US President-Elect Donald Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, US House Speaker Mike Johnson and leaders in Ireland on ways to respond to the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Israel respectively. He held his first Press Conference at 2:00 PM on November 16, 2024. He signed several bills into law that were left over from the McCallum administration.
Economic Policy[]
On November 19, 2024, Laylin proposed the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act. The act actively seeks to artificially lower the inflation rate for a temporary amount of time. President Laylin issued this act proposal, to help lower the rate of inflation until mid-late 2025. The act will work by lowering the cost of everyday items including gas, food, clothing, healthcare, and medication prescriptions.
He also introduced the Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act. The act will work to cut wasteful government spending, including sending money to foreign nations, with the help of the oversight of the Department Of The Treasury. Inflation is at an all time high, and that is inpart, due to reckless Nationalist spending, that has crippled the paychecks of hard working, hard earning Jesstopians, who are now struggling to feed their families.
Third, he introduced his Spending Transparency Act of 2024. This act will require all spending proposals to be as transparent as possible, and where possible, require Government sponsors to disclose where and when the money is going to be spent. This act will help maintain accountability of where government is spending taxpayer money
On November 27, 2024, President Laylin released his bill proposal to leaders of both the House and Senate, and requested a speedy vote on the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act and the Wasteful Government Spending Act, which he will use to reduce the rate of inflation, make gas, groceries and living cheaper and easier for Jesstopian families. He is also working to restore Jesstopia's economy to 1.2% inflationary rate.
On December 3, 2024, President Laylin announced that he was reopening over 250 drilling sites across the country to allow the cost of gas to drop below J2.18 per gallon. He also announced that fracture drilling(fracking) will be allowed to take place at all 250 sites. He said later, he plans to authorize all drilling sites to reopen, and use fracking to get more oil, driving down the cost of oil.
On January 8, 2025, the House voted to in a vote of 299 to 212, to pass the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, with 85 Nationalists supporting the act. All Republicans supported the act in the House. It was then referred to the Senate where it passed 52 - 28 on January 10, 2025. All but 2 Republican senators supported the bill. Jay Laylin signed the act into law on January 10, 2025, at 11:30 PM. The act didn't get much fanfare, but it will play a major role in the economic and spending policy of the country.

Israel[]
On November 16, 2024, Laylin signed a reversal order on the 2024 Israel Travel Ban that was signed during the presidency of John McCallum. He permitted the Jesstopian Border Protection Agency to admit Israeli nationals into the United States Of Jesstopia, calling the ban "antisemitic" in a statement posted on X.
The reversal comes after months of Laylin saying that if he is elected, he would reverse the travel ban that alienates the Israeli people, after Israel responded to attacks on Israeli soil. He promised that the very first day of his presidency would be used to reverse the travel ban. Israeli citizens are being advised to wait 2-3 weeks to reenter the United States Of Jesstopia as Border agents won't likely be able to process Israeli passports for about 2-3 weeks.
Iran[]
On November 26, 2024, Laylin announced that he ordered Jesstopian missiles be prepared for launch in the event of Iran's continued airstrikes on Israel. The president ordered Defense Secretary Corbyn Willard to prepare missile launch control stations to prepare for non-nuclear missile launches aimed for Tehran, Iran's capital.
On December 27, 2024, Laylin issued sanctions on Iranian businesses, known for doing business in the United States Of Jesstopia. Iran called for a lift of those sanctions. Laylin said that he would not lift the full weight of the sanctions until Iran signs a peace treaty with Israel.
Russia[]
On November 18, 2024, President Laylin issued that sanctions on Russia would remain in place until Russia made a tentative agreement to end the war between itself and Ukraine. This call comes as the world looks for force the end of the Russo-Ukraine war that has been ongoing since February 2022. These sanctions were extended by Laylin, and were previously signed by President John McCallum.
On December 8, 2024, a treaty between the United States Of Jesstopia and Russia was signed to formally end the war between the two countries. The Jesstopian government had been working towards ending the war for the last year and half, but were unsuccessful. President Laylin had sat down with ministers to the President Vladimir Putin met with the Laylin transition team, and expressed great support for a formal peace treaty between both countries.
Immigration[]
On November 19, 2024, to combat mass illegal immigration, Laylin signed an order authorizing the Department of Homeland Security, Department Of Border Protection and Jesstopian Border Protection Agency to begin mass detaining, processing and deporting illegal immigrants, with 75% of illegal immigrants coming from Mexico and Venezuela, with about 15% of those here coming from Cuba. He then authorized the immediate suspension of the processing of asylum and immigration applications, to provide the Department Of Homeland Security more resources to find and deport illegals. He then shutdown the Jesstopian Borders to all immigrants attempting to enter the country. He authorized the Jesstopian Border Protection Agency to strictly search vehicles and vessels coming into the country from foreign nations as well.

On November 24, 2024, Laylin visited the Jesstopian Border where he met with and spoke to members of the Jesstopian Border Protection Agency, officials from the Department Of Border Security, department of the Department Of Homeland Security and law enforcement agencies across Mesa's border. During his visit, he spoke on his plans to help them do their jobs effectively, provide them with the much needed funding to ensure that Immigration laws are being enforced. He thanked them for their dedication to protecting Jesstopian citizens and the ensuring only legal immigration is carried out in the country.
Troop Deployment To Aid Immigration Enforcement[]
On November 29, 2024, Laylin sent 100,000 troops to the Jesstopian border entrances, ports of entry including all major international shipping ports, airports, train stations and any vulnerable point of entry into the country. He send a funding package to Congress to aid in hiring more border agents, officials and to allow border officials to fund border programs for immigrants and illegals already in the country.
Investing 18 Billion Dollars For Deportation Efforts[]
On December 3, 2024, President Laylin announced a proposal to Congress to authorize 18 billion dollars to use towards deporting 25 million illegal immigrants across the country. He vowed that if Congress doesn't give him the money that he would use executive authority to declare a state of emergency to access over hundreds of billions of dollars to use towards deporting illegals, and severing entry to the United States Of Jesstopia permanently for illegal immigrants.

On December 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM, Laylin held his first address to the nation, regarding the border crisis, and the progress his administration had made in deporting illegal immigrants, violent gang members, terrorists and wanted individuals. According to the president, his administration has already deported nearly 15 million people, and recovered data from illegal entries, border crossings and got aways.
Laylin later released his administration's findings and data on comparable border crossings and deportations during the Presidency of John McCallum and during Laylin's first month in office. The data shows that only 5 million terrorists and gang members were deported, with about 9.6 million illegal aliens deported.
Governor Sanctuary City Battle[]
On January 3, 2025, it was announced by several Nationalist state governors that they would still not comply with federal efforts to deport illegal aliens who remained in these cities to escape deportation back to their home countries. They also threatened the use of their state national guard. After learning of these efforts, Laylin issued that he would take command of the National guard to preserve and protect the homeland security of the country. He said he would arrest any governor, county, city, local official, or other government official who steps in the way of deportations. He has gained praise for his efforts.
Transgender Community & Policy[]
On November 20, 2024, Laylin signed several executive orders to prevent biological males and females from using the opposite gender's bathroom. The executive orders were signed to temporarily reverse previous legislation that was passed to allow men and women's restrooms to be used by transgender individual, something that Laylin heavily opposed during his time as Senate Minority Leader. He signed several executive orders barring Congress from passing any legislation supporting transgender ideology.
On November 28, 2024, Laylin signed Executive Orders 300.061 and 300.062, which temporarily barred biological males from competing in women's sports, which drew both criticism and applause. The executive orders have made temporary long-term restrictions on males competing in women's sports, and includes any transgenders who "identify as their opposite sex."
On December 5, 2024, Laylin initiated the first phase of his planned banned on teaching transgender ideology in educational institutions, regardless of type of school. The temporary ban extends to 2026. He hopes to have a full, hard ban signed into law by the end of this year. On January 5, 2025, Laylin signed Executive Action 0005, and executive orders 300.101 through 300.103, which temporarily banned schools from participating in or holding LGBTQ based activities, clubs, sporting events, public gatherings, discussion, promotion or teaching of LGBTQ ideology.

On December 4, 2024, just a little after midnight, President Laylin announced that he was investing 8 billion dollars into school safety program 'SafetySchools' which will work to ensure that schools across the country have access to school safety grants to use to beefing up school security systems including law enforcement contracts, door and security locking systems, as well as other types of school safety techniques.
January 8th Impeachment Attempt Against Jay Laylin[]
On January 8, 2025, Representative and Former House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf announced that she was seeking to impeach President Jay Laylin on the grounds that he contributed to the injury of thousands of illegal immigrants who were attacked by Pro-Deportation groups, thus causing mass chaos. She calls the attacks incitement of violence against another person. She calls on him to resign and announced that she was proposing an impeachment inquiry against the President, drawing annoyance from both Republicans and Nationalists alike. Several Nationalist Senators, Representatives and Senate and House leadership announced they won't support the effort, citing "no due cause for it." On January 14, 2025, LeWolf announced that she was no longer seeking an impeachment inquiry against Laylin.
Hurricane Milton[]
On October 8, 2024, it was revealed by media sources that Laylin had quietly donated over 10 million dollars to the response to Hurricane Milton which is slated to cause mass flooding, destruction and great loss of life. He is scheduled to also visit Florida on Monday or Tuesday following the dissipation of the Hurricane over the Atlantic.
Financial Donations To Florida[]
Over the course of the pre-arrival of the hurricane, Laylin donated 10.6 million dollars to Florida's hurricane response. He did so quietly, but a leaked text message revealed that he didn't want anyone to know it was him.

However, I would like to keep the donation under wraps and keep it private if at possible. The people of Florida need us and our help. Get that money to the Governor.
