He announced his candidacy at Feldon Center, in Hard Rock, and received support from his hometown. During his campaign, there were two attempts on his safety. The first took place on May 20, 2023, and again on October 6, 2023.

Withdrawal[]
On December 29, 2023, a day after the Nationalist Party announced that it would seek to vote to force Nationalist candidates off the 2024 Presidential ballot, Hubbert agreed to drop out and allowed Thomas Cooke to be the default for the Nationalist Party's Presidential nominee. He was the last political candidate to do so, making Thomas Cooke the candidate for President in 2024, the first time that any election's candidate was nominated by default.
Post Presidential Bid[]
On September 13, 2024, Hubbert announced that he would seek to be elected to the Jesstopian Senate, as his says he hasn't made plans to run for President in 2028. He said that "his hope is to work his way of the federal government ladder before a second bid for the Nationalist House. He announced that he would seek to replace Benjamin Morris who currently serves as the 5th Senator from New Shire. He said that "Senator Morris has failed to pass the last six infrastructure bills, voted present on 8 border security bills and has failed the Jesstopian people of New Shire."
2025 Jesstopian Senate Bid[]
There is some speculation as to whether he will seek to be elected to the Jesstopian Senate after dropping out of the Presidential race. While the Hubbert Campaign didn't announce whether he would or not, many speculate that he will surprise his caucus and announce a bid for the Senate sometime late in December.
