Jack Donnahue(April 2, 1954) is a Jesstopian Politician who served as the 25th Secretary of the Jesstopian Department Of Education. He is also a retired lifelong educator who was the Superintendent of the Roberto Central School District from September 8, 2011 - June 26, 2022. He is a member of the Nationalist Party. As Secretary Of Education, he has advocated for more school Safety programs, increased School Resource Officer presence and better security networks and systems to protect students, staff and administration.
Early Life[]
Born April 2, 1954, Donnahue was born to two parents who taught at vocational schools including his mother Marcel Donnahue and his father Rich Donnahue. He has two younger brothers Mark Donnahue and Martin Donnahue. He had a dog named Clancy who died after being hit by a car. During his early school career, Donnahue loved to learn. He would often stay after to learn about different subjects, work with members of mathlete competitions. During his high school career, he often participated in science and math related competitions where he would come in 2nd if not first. He was a bright, kind and respectful student.
Education[]
Donnahue graduated from high school on June 11, 1971, where he graduated in the top 10 category and won scholarships to the United States' most prestigious business and education career schools. On May 1, 1976, after 5 years of study, Donnahue graduated Stanford University with high honors. He graduated and successfully obtained his masters in early childhood development, and obtained his associates in business management. During his work studies at college, Donnahue started to apply student teacher positions prior to him actually needing to start setting up student teaching opportunities for college.
Career[]
Roberto Central School District(1985-2022)[]
On July 24, 1985, Donnahue applied as a part time teacher at the Roberto Central School District. On August 5, 1985, Roberto Central School District officially hired him as a full-time Math teacher at Roberto Elementary. By 1990, Donnahue was named Roberto Elementary's Principal. He remained in that position until September 8, 2011, when he was named the Superintendent of the district.
Secretary Of The Jesstopian Department Of Education(2022-2024)[]
On September 15, 2022, Jack Donnahue was selected to be one of 8 people to be appointed the next Secretary of the Jesstopian Department Of Education. He was asked if he would accept the job and he said yes. On September 24, 2022, he was formally appointed the Secretary of the Department Of Education.
Planned Retirement[]
On July 10, 2021 Superintendent Donnahue announced his departure at the end of the 2021-2022 School year through email[1]. His departure was sent through school district email to all staff and faculty. His departure will end his 11 year run as the District's Superintendent.
In a district email released on June 25, 2022, Donnahue said that he would be leaving the district on Monday June 27, 2022. He said that Joe Smith's assumption of duties at the district are more than ready to be carried out. He said thanks to all of the staff for a great career and thanked them for making his last year a memorable one. His last day at the district will be Monday.[2]
