Gretchen Erica LeWolf(September 11, 1961) is a Jesstopian Politician who served as the 32nd Speaker of the House Of The People from 2022 to 2025. She succeeded Braden Harris, when she was sworn in on November 10, 2022. She served as the 28th Deputy Speaker from from 2019 to 2022. Her role as Speaker Of The House Of The People, and quick election to the office has skyrocketed her popularity among voters, who say, the would support her Presidency. She has publicly declined to run in the 2028 Presidential Elections. Many high ranking officials are calling on her to run during the 2032 Presidential Elections. She was succeeded as House Speaker by Matthew Carrington as Speaker Pro Tempore. He is set to finish out the remainder of her term as Speaker Pro Tempore.
Early Life[]
Gretchen LeWolf was born in Little Rock, New Shire on September 11, 1961. She has two brothers, she grew up with two 6'11" football playing brothers. She was also the daughter of two high level Government Officials. Her father served as the State Of New Shire's Representative For Its 44th District. Her mother served as a representative for New Shire's 10th District.
Personal Life[]
LeWolf is married to Nicholas LeWolf. The two married back in 1989 and have five children. 3 sons, and two daughters. Their personal residence is located in Riverview, New Shire.
Senate(2000-2015)[]
LeWolf served as the 1st Senator for New Shire from 2000 until 2015. In that role she served her entire term on the Senate's majority party. During her term she was able to implement many policies improving housing developments for mass homelessness, and helped Jesstopia get out of several economically harmful deals, that would have raised taxes by 9%, and skyrocketed oil prices to J 8.59.
House Of The People(2015-Present)[]
LeWolf served as a State Representative from November 10, 2015 - November 10, 2019, before being appointed the House's Deputy Speaker, by Speaker Braden Harris. As a Representative for New Shire's 1st Congressional District, she worked on several bills that would help establish the Presidency, which was signed by Jessy The Great III, which became active after his death.
Deputy Speaker(2019-2022)[]
On November 10, 2019, newly sworn House Speaker Braden Harris, selected LeWolf to serve alongside him as Deputy Speaker. Speaker Harris also designated her the chairwomen of the House School Safety Committee. She has served as Deputy Speaker since November 10, 2019. She has expressed interest in running for Speaker in September, but says she still needs to decide on whether she is willing to go all in. She has worked alongside Speaker Braden Harris.
House Speaker(2022-2025)[]
LeWolf was sworn in as the 32nd Speaker of the House on November 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM after being declared the winner of the 2022 House Speaker Election on September 24, 2022. She was set to serve until 2025,[1] until she announced her departure from the Speaker's chair on December 14, 2025. During her time as Speaker, she has seen several major events unfold under her speakership. Firstly, the death of Vice President Sam Simon. Secondly, the ongoing conflict between the United States Of Jesstopia and the Kingdom Of Polton, related to a land ownership dispute. She is continuing to address the ongoing conflict in daily meetings of the Congress.
John McCallum Sex Scandal[]
LeWolf has remained, since the beginning of the accusations, supportive of President McCallum and has even come to his defense multiple times. She said that she isn't likely to follow through with voting for impeachment, as required by the Duty To Act clause of the Jesstopian Constitution. She has remained a strong enemy of Sam Simon since November 25, 2022.
Proposals[]
- On November 11, 2022, LeWolf proposed limiting terms on the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. She is also considering proposing term limits on representative seats.[2]
- On November 15, 2022, LeWolf introduced a plan to require members of the House Of The People to screen for any infectious diseases to preserve the health and safety of senior members of the House. The House will vote on the proposal on June 15, 2023.
- On January 15, 2023, LeWolf proposed changing the name of Nationalist Street to Sam Simon Memorial Way in honor of Jesstopia's 3rd Vice President, who died on January 13, 2023 from complications of cancer.
- March 12, 2023, LeWolf introduced legislation that would force members of Congress to take annual and semi-annual drug tests to ensure they continue to be fit to serve in office.
- May 22, 2023, LeWolf proposed removing life time protections for the Vice President Of The United States Of Jesstopia, as she says that the "Vice President, isn't a direct target in assassination plots and historically have been left alone after leaving office in other countries."
- On December 2, 2023, LeWolf introduced legislation that would make the mandatory prison sentence for shooting up a school or causing great bodily injury or death to students, staff or employees, an immediate sentence, to mediate recent fatal school shootings.
Jesstopian-Polton Land Dispute[]
On September 14, 2022, The Jesstopian Department Of Interior announced that the United States Of Jesstopia owned land South of North Lorray which remains land of Jesstopia. While on the other hand, King Marcus II of Polton believes it to be land owned by his Kingdom. Tensions since then have raised concerns that a potential war could be declared by President John McCallum, which would be devastating to both countries. LeWolf has expressed support for the war to reclaim land granted by the Kingdom to the young Jesstopian nation in 1823. Congress has been silent related to the chance of a war being declared.
Attack On Dyrk By Palestine[]
On January 4, 2024, Jesstopian Territory Dyrk, was attacked. Territorial Governor Brenden Ark reported that 1,500 servicemen and women were killed when a Palestinian airstrike was conducted. The attack was in response to the Jesstopian Military's attack on a compound that killed 190 Gazan kids on October 29, 2023.
2024 Presidential Election Certification[]
LeWolf certified the results of the 2024 Presidential Election as the Speaker of the House Of The People on November 3, 2024. She announced that Jay Laylin won the election, much to the displeasure of House Nationalists. Six Representatives opposed certification, to which Speaker LeWolf quieted down those oppositions.
Attempt To Remove The House Speaker[]
On December 6, 2024, a motion was filed within the House known as House Resolution 191, or HR191, entitled "Motion To Consider And Declare Vacant, The Office Of Speaker Of The House." The main reason for the motion being raised, is due to her blatant refusal to work with the Laylin Administration on border security and immigration policy. President Jay Laylin had grown frustrated with her refusing to even look at the proposals. Members of the House became irritated because they weren't allowed to look over the immigration bill and the details surrounding the 18 million dollar funding package to aid in border security. She survived the first round of votes to 213 - 212, but is facing a turbulent second vote on December 7, 2024. If she is ousted, she won't be completed booted from Congress, she will return to her seat as a regular Representative and carry on her term.
On December 7, 2024, the House conducted a second motion to vacate vote, and it failed to pass with a vote to 315 to 110. Over 110 members of Congress voted to remove her, a majority of those votes from Republicans with only 15 votes from Nationalists.
Stepping Down As House Speaker[]
On December 14, 2024, Speaker LeWolf announced that she would step down as House Speaker effective January 5, 2025. She said that she would not seek reelection as House Speaker, but confirmed that she would keep her seat in the House. On December 21, 2024, LeWolf announced that she was not seeking reelection to the House. She said that she would be leaving Congress at the end of her current term. On January 4, 2025, LeWolf gave her farewell speech in relation to her role as Speaker. She will remain as the Representative for New Shire's 1st Congressional District until November 10, 2025. She left the speaker's chair on January 5, 2025, as scheduled. Matthew Carrington assumed office as Speaker Pro Tempore.
Impeachment Inquiry Against President Jay Laylin[]
On January 8, 2025, Speaker LeWolf announced that she was seeking to impeach President Jay Laylin on the grounds that he contributed to the injury of thousands of illegal immigrants who were attacked by Pro-Deportation groups, thus causing mass chaos. She calls the attacks incitement of violence against another person. She calls on him to resign and announced that she was proposing an impeachment inquiry against the President, drawing annoyance from both Republicans and Nationalists alike. Several Nationalist Senators, Representatives and Senate and House leadership announced they won't support the effort, citing "no due cause for it."
Controversies[]
On February 5, 2024, LeWolf was accused of tampering with evidence that was part of the case against President John McCallum's 2022 Sexual Assault and Misconduct trial. She is currently accused of destroying documents, Nationalist House visitor logs, email files, email records, and as of February 6, 2024, attempting to silence witnesses. The accusations come from former McCallum aides and allies, as well as former Vice President Sam Simon staffers.
On November 20, 2024, LeWolf drew harsh criticism when she made a controversial statement saying that she would not support deportation efforts of President Jay Laylin. She was accused of supporting illegal immigration, something her role as Speaker prevents, and was accused of violating her oath to defend the Constitution Of The United States Of Jesstopia.
On December 3, 2024, she once again drew controversy, announcing that the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act would not be voted on until after the new session of Congress opens. Republicans accused her of stalling the President's agenda, leading to many of her prominent supporters including former House Speaker Braden Harris announcing his bid for election to the speakership for another term. On December 6, 2024, just three days later, House Deputy Speaker Matthew Carrington announced that he was seeking election as the next Speaker, signaling that he does not intend to continue to run for reelection as Deputy Speaker in 2025.
On December 12, 2024, the Federal Crime Investigative Service named LeWolf as a defendant in a case of money laundering, a scheme that was uncovered during an investigation of her finance company LeWolf Private Financial Institute. The investigation accuses LeWolf of knowingly and willfully allowing her company to be used to hide illegally obtained funding from the Federal Government. She is under investigation of the FCIS, and is likely to face a Senate Judiciary Committee.

Nomination[]
LeWolf, sought nomination as the Nationalist Party candidate for House Speaker. On July 17, 2022, Gretchen LeWolf was nominated as the Nationalist Candidate by the Nationalist Party.[3]
2022 Speaker Election[]
On September 24, 2022, LeWolf was certified as the winner of the 2022 Speaker Elections. She won both the Majority vote from both houses of Congress and won 75% of the votes required. She was sworn in as the 32nd House Speaker, on November 10, 2022.[4]
2025 Speaker Elections[]
On February 6, 2023, LeWolf announced that she was seeking a second term in office. During a press conference on February 8, she says that she is working to reform the Speakership, by working to grant the position more powers. She said that if she is successful in 2025, she'd likely seek the office in 2028.
