- Donald Trump said that the shooting of Jay Laylin is undemocratic and should never have happened. He said he prays for a speedy recovery of the President.
- Joe Biden said that his prayers are with President Laylin as he continues his fight to survive. He says violence should not be tolerated or accepted as the norm.
- Justin Trudeau said that the shooting is a stark reminder of the danger leading a country causes. He said he prays for the speedy recovery of President Laylin and for his family.
- French President Emmanuel Macron wished the President a speedy and full recovery recommitting his support of the Jesstopian-French relations and says he will continue to pray for Laylin and his family.
- Pierre Poilievre issued a statement saying that he wishes a quick and complete recovery of President Laylin. He says that he prays for his family as well as him as he continues to recover. “Democracy only dies when we let the light of evil to shine.”
