Gary Bufford Rogers(December 9, 1954) is a Jesstopian Politician who served as the 23rd Lt. Governor Of New Shire from January 30, 2022 until his resignation on February 23, 2022. Since leaving office, he launched a Congressional bid to defeat Brody Patterson, the current Representative for New Shire's 2nd Congressional District in the House Of The People.
Early Life[]
Gary Rodgers was born December 9, 1954, in Rufus County, New Shire. He was raised by a Political Family. His Father was a State Assemblyman, and his Mother was a State Prosecutor. She also served as the State's Director Of Commerce. His youngest sister, Lynn Rodgers, served as the 2nd Nationalist House Press Secretary. She is New Shire’s 45th and first female Governor.
Career[]
Gary Rodgers began his career back in 1976, when he was elected to the State Senate, where he worked on important bills including: New Families Left Behind Act and the Fair Childhood Home Act, and many others. Before he became the Lt. Governor Of New Shire, he supported Child Suffering Organizations as well as several Female drug rehab facilities. He is particularly interested in providing for all recovering drug addicts.

Rodgers served as the 23rd Lt. Governor Of New Shire from January 30, 2022 until his resignation on February 23, 2022.. He served alongside the 44th Governor Of New Shire, Thomas Cooke.
Controversies[]
On February 22, 2022, it was revealed by the Governor's Office that Mr. Rodgers would be under investigation for misconduct in the Lt. Governor's Office. Mr. Rodgers testified before the State's Supreme Court where he was later acquitted of any wrongdoing. Governor Cooke testified that his office had failed to be aware of the misconduct because, as he says "there was no misconduct going on at the Governor's Office.
Resignation[]
On February 23, 2022, Rodgers resigned amid the mounting pressure from the Nationalist Party, Governor Cooke and the victims for him to resign. After resigning, he focused on defending himself in State court, citing that no misconduct ever happened. Several key witnesses testified that the staffer who made the accusations, made sexual advances on Rodgers, who turned them down. Several female staffers said that she was written up 20 times by Governor Cooke's and Rodger's senior staff members. She was found to "not have sufficient evidence to support that Rodgers sexually assaulted, sexually harassed or sexually intimidated her."
2025 Congressional Bid[]
On June 18, 2023, Rodgers announced that he was considering a bid to be elected to Congress's House Of The People to Represent New Shire's 8th Congressional District. The seat is up for election as Representative Brody Patterson(N-NS 8) said he plans on running for the Senate in 2025. Rodgers says that "he is committed to the people of New Shire and to serve all Jesstopians", and "will hold Government accountable."
