David L Roberts(February 1, 1956) is a Jesstopian Lawyer, Businessman and Politician who serves as the 33rd Governor of Jordan from 2021 until 2025. He was sworn in on January 20, 2021. He also sought and won election on December 19, 2020. After being sworn in, Roberts issued his first Executive Order which prevented the use of the word Gay and Lesbian in Elementary, a decision he was criticized for. A member of the Nationalist Party, he has spoke out against discrimination in schools against LGBTQ students and vows in this elections to punish businesses and schools and other organizations that discriminate against these individuals. On December 21, 2024, it was announced that he had officially lost his reelection bid to David Sperry, who received 275 vote bank points.

Early Life[]

Born in Appleton, Jordan, Roberts was born to Congressman Larry Roberts, and mother Ruth Roberts. He attended Ronson Edgar High School where he played Soccer for his High School.

Congress[]

Roberts served in Congress for 14 years, serving both in the House Of The People and the Senate of the United States Of Jesstopia.

31st District Representative(1978-1982)[]

On November 10, 1978, Roberts was elected as the 31st District's representative. During his tenure, he was instrumental in signing several packages which raised Jesstopia's drinking and smoking age to 21, and the gun ownership age increased to 18 years old. He was also instrumental in signing legislation allowing Jordan to authorize the sale and distribution of weed in Jordan.

25th District Senator(1982-1992)[]

On November 5, 1982, Roberts announced that he would resign from his position as a Representative and move over to the Senate. He announced that he was seeking election as Jordan's Senator for its 25th District. On December 20, 1982, he was nominated as the Nationalist Party's choice for the position. He was sworn in on January 1, 1982. He served until January 1, 1992, when he lost to Nancy Rodmin.

Governor Of Jordan(2021-2025)[]

On November 3, 2019, Roberts registered as a Gubernatorial candidate. During his campaign, he promised the Jordian citizens that he would make the State of Jordan streets safe. He also promised to take illegal guns, drugs and services off the streets. He aimed his campaign at targeting illegal crimes such as Drug Running, Human trafficking and violence against schools. He won election on November 15, 2020. He was sworn in on January 20, 2021 for his a first term. He is seeking reelection during 2024 Jordan Gubernatorial Elections. He left office on January 20, 2025, following the swearing in of David Sperry as the state's 34th Governor.
