David Rivera(June 9, 1959) is a Jesstopian politician who currently serves as the 26th Lt. Governor Of New Shire since 2024. He previously served as a State Representative in the New Shire House Of The People. He has represented New Shire's 9th district in the State House Of The People. He was sworn in as the new Lt. Governor of New Shire on May 10, 2024. He was elected alongside Lynn Rodgers who was sworn in as the 45th and first female Governor Of New Shire.

Personal Life[]

Born in Collins, New Shire on June 9, 1959, Rivera was born to Maria Rivera and Christian Rivera and has two brothers and a sister. He grew up in a Hispanic household and was raised with family and friends at the forefront of his life. He was supported throughout his career in government and was supporter heavily by his grandparents during his college years, as he went through law school. He currently lives in Chula Vista, New Shire, about 45 miles South of Towton, New Shire.

Lt. Governor Of New Shire(2024-Present)[]

Rivera has been the Lt. Governor of New Shire since May 10, 2024, and since assuming the role, has spent countless hours working to pushing forward Governor Lynn Rodger's agenda in terms of pro-LGBTQ policy, fixing the state's economy, and ensuring that safety remains top of mind.

On May 25, 2024, Rivera announced that Governor Lynn Rodgers would be focusing her attention on providing more affordable housing for New Shirens, and says she will focus on investing in building more houses in low income areas, and reducing prices on those homes.

On June 2, 2024, Rivera spoke to supporters of the LGBTQ Protection Act, which would focus on ensuring higher criminal penalties for those who discriminate against members of the LGBTQ, expanding on the Anti-LGTBQ prevention act that was passed under the administration of Thomas Cooke.

New Shire State Representative(2020-2024)[]

Elected to the State Legislature on October 16, 2020, Rivera made a name for himself during his two terms in the New Shire House Of The People. During his time he focused on ensuring state security, investigating higher crime and called out Mark Maulkinksi's sexual misconduct.

On November 12, 2020, Rivera spoke strongly out against the murder of six LGBTQ members in the United States calling it a "devastating travesty," and "unacceptable." He called for national support for the community, receiving strong criticism from Nationalist law makers and voters.

During the 2021 investigation into Mark Maulkinkski, for his role in reopening schools when COVID-19 was killing millions around the world, Rivera focused on attacking Maulkinkski's role in the deaths of 25 students as a result of reopening schools. Two teachers died as a result of the reopenings.

He voted on 2,459 bills of which only 998 of those bills were actually passed. Many of the bills were co-sponsored by Rivera, and Rivera is deemed one of the most effective state Senators in New Shire Legislature history.
