Braden Lewis Harris(November 1, 1979) is a Jesstopian Politician and Lawyer who serves as the current representative for New Shire’s 8th Congressional District who seeking election to a second term as House Speaker, looking to defeat Gretchen LeWolf. Harris served as the 31st Speaker Of The House Of The People from November 10, 2019 until November 10, 2022. Harris won election as House Speaker on October 10, 2019. He has Served in multiple Government positions such as Deputy Speaker and Speaker Pro Tempore.
Early Life[]
Braden L Harris was born on November 1, 1979, in Little Rock, New Shire. He was raised in a political and religious family. His parents were both Political Science Professors at Zankburg University. He grew up in a very Christian household where he later would join his churches Choir.
Career[]
Representative For New Shire's 8th District(2005-Present)[]
On September 5, 2005, Harris was elected to represent New Shire's 8th District in Congress. He was sworn in as New Shire's 55th Representative for its 8th District. Upon leaving his role as House Speaker on November 10, 2022, he retained his Representative Seat.
House Speaker(2019-2022)[]
Harris has served as the House Speaker since 2019. He was elected as the 31st Speaker Of The House Of The People. He also served as the Deputy House Speaker Of New Shire from November 10, 2010 - November 10, 2019. He plans on stepping down as Speaker Of The House Of The People in November.
Gretchen LeWolf won election as House Speaker[1] He was succeeded by Gretchen LeWolf on November 10, 2022.
On January 9, 2025, Harris announced that he was proposing a motion to put Matthew Carrington into the Speaker's chair after serving as Speaker Pro Tempore since January 5, 2025. Harris said that Carrington is the best option to have in the Speaker's chair when the 2025 House Speaker Election takes place and announced he was putting the motion on the desk of Carrington. It is likely that he will push if for a vote.
Deputy House Speaker(1999-2005)[]
Harris served as Deputy House Speaker from November 10, 1999 until he stepped down to focus on his Representative Campaign, during the 2006 Congressional Elections. He will won the election blowing out all other Nationalist Party and Republican Candidates.
2024 Presidential Bid[]
On June 19, 2022, Harris announced his bid for President. He said that he would be running for President during the campaign trail.[2]
2024 Campaign[]
The 2024 Presidential Campaign Trail will begin in March 2023. Harris said that he would like to win the 2024 Nationalist Party nomination, and said that he will fight hard to win the party's trust and win the Presidency. On October 7, 2023, Braden Harris announced that he would no longer seek the Presidency in 2024, citing "strong support for Cooke as a friend and colleague."

On April 16, 2018, Harris Announced that he was seeking election as House Speaker. On September 5, 2019, voters hit the polls, and he defeated Karen Mickey for the Speakership.
