Brad Edward Newsom(January 3, 1966 - June 30, 2023) was a Jesstopian Politician, Lawyer, Lawmaker and devout Nationalist, who served as the 14th Senate Majority Leader of the Jesstopian Senate from 2020 until his death in 2023.
Early Life[]
Newsom grew up relatively poor, as compared to other Senate members. His father John left his mom Georgia, brothers Colton, Devin and himself for another women when he was only 2 months old. Newsom never had a father figure in his life, due to the fact that his mom wasn't interested in getting remarried and endure the hurt she faced when John left and abandoned them. Due to the lack of a father figure, Brad had to figure out how he was going to provide for his Mom, and brothers Colton and Devin. At the age of 12, Brad had picked up a few jobs working as a maintenance worker for New Shire Department of Transportation, as well as a server at a local restaurant. Many recognized his workmanship, and was offered several promotions, but turned them down(for the sole reason, he had a family to protect and take care of.
Education[]
After finishing high school, Newsom went onto Law School, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Political and Financial Law. After finishing up his time at the college, he wen and took his civil service exam. At 18 years old, Newsom successfully passed his Civil Service Exam, and was certified as a Public Servant of The Great Nation Of Jesstopia. After receiving his certification, Newsom had a great deal of knowledge that opened the doors to a world of opportunities. Through his determination and perseverance, Brad Newsom made a name for himself.
Politics[]
Senator From New Shire(1986-1996)[]
From 1986 until 1996, Newsom represented New Shire as a Senator. He was elected to to serve in the Jesstopian Senate on November 19, 1985, and was sworn in as a Junior Senator on January 20, 1996. He served in that role until 1996, before becoming the Majority Whip. He served in that role until 2000.
Senate Majority Leader(2020-2023)[]
Newsom had served from 2020 until his death in 2023, as the 14th Senate Majority Leader. Over his tenure, he was instrumental in Congress declaring war against Russia, after its unprovoked attack on Ukraine back in February of 2022. He has also been a crucial supporter of President John McCallum as well as several members of his administrative staff. He was seeking a second term as the Senate Majority leader in 2024. He served as the Senate Majority Leader as a Nationalist, before his death in 2023.
Death[]
On June 30, 2023, at approximately 9:00 AM, Newsom's plane took off from Andrew's Air Force Base, commonly referred to as Joint Base Andrews, at 9:05 AM. According to reports, his plane appeared to be in a steep nose up position, before the aircraft appeared to stall. Investigators believe the jet crashed due to steep rate of a climb and the rudder control snapped back and forth. He is expected to receive a state funeral for his service in Congress.
