Alex Evan Paul(September 25, 2004) is the second youngest child of former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul. He is also the younger brother of Matt Paul(2003-2022) and Lisa Paul. He is currently attending law school in hopes to follow in his father's footsteps. He is the eldest living child of Kirk and Alexis Paul following the 2022 death of his older brother Matthew Paul.
Early Life[]
Born on September 25, 2004, Alex was born as the youngest son of Kirk Paul, who served as the Governor of Mesa from November 20, 2021 until May 9, 2023. They grew up in Alden, Mesa. He attended Alden High School where he obtained his diploma. He is a graduate of the class of 2023's Valedictorian.
2024 DUI Arrest[]
On July 29, 2024, Kirk Paul's living eldest child, Alex Paul was arrested by the Mesa Highway Patrol on Alden Avenue, after he crashed his vehicle into a ditch. The Mesa Highway Patrol, Alden Police Department and the Alden County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash. He was taken into custody by the MHP and is awaiting facing a judge. He is being detained in the Alden County Mesa Highway Patrol station. He will be transferred to Alden County Municipal Court tomorrow morning to appear before a judge. His mother, former First Honorable Lady Of Mesa, Alexis Paul is expected to attend that hearing.
On July 31, 2024, an Alden County Court Judge ordered Paul to serve 80 hours of community service, and attend AA meetings for one year. The sentence has been criticized by people who feel like the judge was showing favoritism to Paul, based on who Alex's dad was.
Overdose In Roxwood College Dorm Room[]
On January 7, 2025, officers of the Roxwood College Police were dispatched to the dorm room of Paul who was found laying face down, with foam coming from his mouth. Officers quickly identified he was having an overdose and administered NARCAN, and was taken to Alden Critical Care Medical Center where he is currently being looked over. On January 8, 2025, Investigators say that the overdose was a suicide attempt, and it was revealed in text messages to one of Alex's best friends that tipped investigators off to his depression. He was released from the hospital after a four day observation. He was cleared to go home, but will be required to attend mental health counseling for the next year.
