Since 1988, the show has been aired, and as of November 5, 2023, the show has been hosted by Jesstopian Actor Jordie Mackland. The show is funded and supported by JTV, the Jesstopian Television Network. It is currently by the Jesstopian Entertainment Company. According to recent company records, Kirk Paul is believed to hold stake within the company that owns Alden Prime Time.

The show is a political talk show, where topics from all over the United States Of Jesstopia, and issues currently facing the country. The show also, while rarely, invites political officials onto the show, where they give insight into the issues facing the nation and the 13 states. A majority of the show is broken down into segments, with the main segments being the Welworth Minute(Since 2009), State Affairs(Since 1988), Inside Congress(Since 1988), and the Presidential Corner(Since 2018).

Linda Welworth Retirement[]
On April 15, 2023, Welworth announced that she was planning on retiring before the start of the 36th season premier which is set for July 25, 2023. She announced that she was ready to step back from her role as host of the show after 14 years. On May 18, 2023, producers approached former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul and asked if he would be interested in hosting the show. According to producers, he responded to their emails stating, "I would be very interested in hosting Alden Prime Time, and would be willing to establish a contract to start shooting the new season of Alden Prime Time." The former Governor also said that "Alden Prime Time raised him."
On May 19, 2023, Paul replaced Welworth following her departure from the show. While he won't begin hosting until July, he has been listed as a host on JTV.net. His official first episode will air on JTV on July 15, 2023, at 10:00 PM. On July, 15, 2023, as scheduled, Kirk Paul aired his first episode of Alden Prime Time. According to Television Polls, the show reached its max viewership in over 10 years, seeing 26.8 Million viewers watch his first episode.

Kirk Paul Announces Acquisition Of JTV By Pookepsie Entertainment Inc[]
On July 27, 2023, Kirk Paul announced that his wife's media company, Pookepsie Entertainment Inc, would acquire Alden Prime Time for a lump sum of 879.6 Million Dollars, and would acquire all crew, directors, cast, facilities and equipment with the acquisition. He announced this via Twitter a little after 12:00 AM. The acquisition took place on August 15, 2023. The final payment was received on August 31, 2023. The company is now owned solely by Kirk Paul.
