The 2024 Jesstopian Presidential Election was the third Presidential Election to be held in the United States Of Jesstopia. It resulted in the election of Jay Laylin as the 3rd President Of The United States Of Jesstopia. The 2024 Presidential Election began at 7:30 AM on October 16, 2024 and concluded with the closure of polls at 11:00 PM. The following information has been provided by third party sources and other Governmental Agencies. The information provided will be used for future and current elections. The tickets up for the election were the Thomas Cooke-John Thurman ticket and the Jay Laylin-Cole Bindle ticket. Jay Laylin will be the first Republican head of state of the country ever.

Election Timeline[]

  • On October 13, 2024, all major polling sites released their final polling data prior to the October 16, 2024 election day. The polling data shows that Thomas Cooke is just 6 percentage points behind Jay Laylin in all major polls conducted between October 1, 2024 and October 12, 2024.
  • On October 15, 2024, both Thomas Cooke and Jay Laylin suspended their campaigns, which is federally required to happen at least 24 hours before election day. Both candidates thanked their supporters, campaign staff and other family and friends for their support during the campaign trail.
  • On October 16, 2024 - Jesstopian polls opened at 7:30 AM and voters across the country began voting for the next President of the United States Of Jesstopia. Same day early voters were granted access to voting at 6:00 AM.
  • On October 16, 2024, EpicVote, a major vote tracking company, said that within the first 2 hours, over 2.6 million voters cast their ballots. Jay Laylin and Thomas Cooke cast their votes at 7:30 AM.
  • On October 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM, EpicVote voter tracker showed that 24.8 million voters had cast their ballots. Poll workers said that the influx of voters is still strong and advised that voters wait until early evening.
  • On October 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM, EpicVote vote tracker showed that 39.5 million voters had already cast their ballot across the country. Heavy and lengthy voter lines were still reported as voters getting off of work were headed to vote. Poll workers ramped up efforts to get voters in and out of polls. The Federal Elections Board issued a statement on their website that voters should consider voting online to avoid long lines and if they wanted to vote in person, that they should check in online before entering their polling location to speed up the entire voting process.
  • October 16, 2024 at 7:15 PM, The Federal Election Board announced that 77.6 million ballots have been cast. The lines for voting have also disappeared as last minute voters hurry to vote before the polls close at 11:00 PM. Police were called to ensure the remainder of the voters standing outside remained safe as they waited to enter their polling place.
  • On October 16, 2024 at 9:25 PM, The Federal Election Board announced that 85.2 million ballots have been cast.
  • On October 16, 2024 at 10:00 PM, The Federal Election Board announces final hour of election day and advises any final voters who need to vote to get to their local polling place by 10:30 PM. IT t was announced that 89,629,042 ballots were collected.
  • October 16, 2024 at 11:00 PM, the 2024 Presidential election concluded with the closure of the polls. Poll workers began sorting and counting ballots from election day, and the certification of votes began.
  • On October 17, 2024 at 5:25 AM, New Shire certified its results giving its Vote Bank Points to Thomas Cooke.
  • On October 17, 2024 at 7:45 AM, North Lorray certified its results giving its Vote Bank Points to Jay Laylin.

  • On November 5, 2024, The Senate certified the electoral results of the election and certified that Jay Laylin won the necessary amount of Vote Bank Points to win the Jesstopian Presidency.

A candidate must receive at least 150 vote bank points to win the Presidency. Each state gives their points to a candidate who won the majority vote. Most states play a pivotal role in who becomes President, but some states may not be required as some larger pull states may support enough votes to secure a candidate's win. Certification of vote results will begin immediately following the closure of polls which is scheduled for October 16, 2024, at 11:30 PM.

Thomas Cooke-Jay Laylin Debate For First Time On September 1, 2024

Presidential Candidates Thomas Cooke and Jay Laylin debate for the first time during the very first Presidential debate in Peach Tree City on September 1, 2024.

On September 1, 2024, Thomas Cooke and Jay Laylin faced off for the first Presidential debate which was held in Peach Tree, New Shire at 10:00 PM. The debate took place at Pride Tower Complex. The event was televised live on all major news networks and was the number 1 most viewed broadcast around the country. The viewership for this debate was 9.2 million.

On September 28, 2024, Thomas Cooke and Jay Laylin faced for the second and final Presidential debate which was held in Nox City, North Lorray at 10:00 PM. The debate took place at Cypress Towers. The debate was televised on Nox City News, and all major news networks. The viewership for this debate was 9.6 million, 400,000 more viewers than the first presidential debate.

The third Presidential debate was cancelled, in a mutual agreement by both the Laylin and Cooke campaigns. The reason behind the cancellation was to allow both candidates as much time to rally their supporters ahead of the election in October.

Presidential candidates Jay Laylin and Thomas Cooke held dueling town halls on October 6, 2024, in the nation's capital city.

On October 6, 2024, both Presidential candidates Jay Laylin and Thomas Cooke held a dueling town hall just miles from one another. Thomas Cooke held his town hall at New Shire's Governor's Mansion, whereas Jay Laylin held his at the New Shire State Capital building. Both candidates took questions from Nationalist, Republican and unsure voters. Polls show that Jay Laylin performed far better than Thomas Cooke, who avoided directly answering several dozen questions from voters.

Lawsuit To Overturn Election Results, Demand Recount[]

On October 19, 2024, a pro-LGBTQ organization filed a lawsuit to get the 2024 Presidential Election results overturned and also requested a recount of votes. The group alleged widespread "voter and electoral fraud." On October 23, 2024, a court record leaked to the media shows that the court dismissed the case. We spoke with the Judge Mitchell Lamb who filed the dismissal.
