NEWS 28 - Porter Governor Rachel Hopkins is seeking reelection as she is at all time high approval ratings, but faces criticism from Republicans and Republican voters over her persistence in degrading women by allowing and promoting men in women's sports. She announced her reelection bid early this morning.

Hopkins is currently enjoying all time high approval ratings, and is viewed as a strong contender during the 2026 Porter Gubernatorial Elections. She has worked to block Laylin Administration anti-LGBTQ policies and pushed to hard stop any action that prevents gender affirming care.

"I am grateful for the work that we have been able to accomplish and the work we have yet to do, but I know we will continue to make our state great," said Governor Hopkins. "That is why I am declaring my candidacy to be reelected as the Governor Of The Great State Of Porter during the 2026 elections. We must stop the hate towards the LGBTQ community and President Laylin is the epitome of that hate."

Republicans have tried to take control of the Governor's office since 2010, and have remained unable to grip their party's hold on the governorship. The Republican party gained control of the Nationalist House, and that has resulted in several Nationalist incumbent governors being defeated in several state gubernatorial elections.

"A lot of Porter citizens are tired of the pushing the transgender and gay ideology and says that Hopkins has been the major pusher for these pro-LBGTQ policies that has killed the Porter economy," said a Porter resident. "We are tired of the gaslighting us into thinking we are homophobic for thinking that men and woman are born by their genes, not by the claim that they are a women or man when they are not."

St. Lorenzo - Governor Rachel Hopkins has announced that she is seeking another term in office after serving more than three terms in office. She is seeking a fourth term, leading Porter through an economic boom and providing thousands of jobs across several sectors.

JESSTOPIAN NEWS NETWORK - Porter Governor Rachel Hopkins has started her third term in office and to kick start her new term, she has said that she would be funding more programs for the State's veterans. Hopkins, who served in the State's National Guard from 2005-2010, has been a strong advocate for Veterans' rights and has passed legislation granting more rights, programs and services to vets.

"Without the incredible sacrifices of our veterans, I would not be standing here today," said Governor Hopkins. "Without you decision to fight for our freedoms we would not be here, able to live free, live safe and live in a country that allows anyone to succeed. For that I sincerely thank you for all that you do."

She has invested over 2.5 billion dollars in programs for Veterans' and has established veteran tax holidays in the state that have been active since 2020. She continues to address the need for better care for Veterans' health.

She is also kicking off her third term in high note, as inflation is at 2% statewide, the tax rate is less than 5%, the lowest it has ever been. She continues to sign legislation that aides in forcing inflation down, which has reduced costs of living for Porter citizens.

Her term in set to expire on March 15, 2026, and she is hoping to have a smooth next two years and will continue to work on important issues close to her and the citizens of the state.

NEWS 28 - Porter Governor Rachel Hopkins has begun her third term after being reelected last month. Hopkins, during her inaugural address gave tribute to the veterans who have served the great state of Porter and the United States Of Jesstopia.

She will serve her current term until March 15, 2026 when she is up for reelection. She says that she her current term will focus on safety, economic reform, and Veteran's affairs. She says that she is grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve another term as Governor.

"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve another term as this incredible state's Governor," said Governor Hopkins. "Being able to work for the hard working Porterans, is an honor and the reason I got into politics, hoping to make active change and ensuring freedom remains and that all state residents can grow and live in a free and safe state. Thank you for trusting me to be your governor."

The State's economy is the strongest it has been in the last 50 years, and that is attributed heavily to Hopkins' economic policy, inflation reduction bills signed in 2020 and 2022. She is hoping to continue that positive trend.

JESSTOPIAN NEWS NETWORK - Governors Linda Lee, Rachel Hopkins, Westley Bronson are all looking forward to being sworn in for their second and third terms respectively, tomorrow morning.

Lee who is the only Incumbent to serve just her second term of the three, will be sworn in at 9:00 AM on the steps of City Hall in front of thousands of attendees. The ceremonies will kick off at approximately 8:45 AM with Governor Lee taking the podium to give her inaugural speech after her swearing-in ceremony. She will then fly to New Shire to deliver remarks on the bombing that claimed the lives of 45 people in Nox City last year, and to voice her concerns over the persistent terrorism that has plagued the State in the last 2 years.

Westley Bronson and Rachel Hopkins are entering their third terms in office, and both will sworn in at their respective Governor's Mansions in Hilson and Porter. Hopkins is expected to leave the Governor's mansion after he swearing in and to several meetings with President John McCallum to focus on funding for the State's new Border Patrol stations that will be constructed along Porter's coastal towns.

Attendees of the swearing-in ceremonies are being told to arrive to the venue an hour before the start of the event, to make sure they are seated before the governor's are sworn-in.

NEWS 28 - Incumbent State Governors Linda Lee, Westley Bronson and Rachel Hopkins will all be sworn in for their new terms tomorrow at 9:00 AM. All three governors were successful in their reelection bids during their State's respective 2024 Gubernatorial Elections.

Linda Lee was reelected to a second term on February 17, 2024, after winning 272 points against Harry Adams' 98 points. She was the top contender going into the election, and may predictions said that she would win a second term. She was leading in the election early on, and was certified the winner two days later.

"I look forward to being able to lead my state for another two years," said Governor Lee. "It is an honor to be able to continue my service to North Lorray. I look forward to what the next two years have in store for our state and the great people of North Lorray."

Westley Bronson also had a major victory, receiving 276 of the 270 votes required, against Perry Walter's 125 points out of 270. He also quickly won reelection and will be sworn in tomorrow as well.

"It is truly an honor to have the chance to serve yet another term in this great office," said Governor Bronson. "I thank the residents of this state for their trust in me as their governor and I will continue to work hard for them during these next two years."

Rachel Hopkins who will also be serving her third consecutive term also thanked her supporters, family and donors for their unwavering support for her campaign. She says that "Porter has seen the largest economic growth within the United States Of Jesstopia.

JESSTOPIAN NEWS NETWORK - State Governors Linda Lee, Westley Bronson and Rachel Hopkins were all reelected to new terms during the February 15 election cycle. They will all be sworn in for new terms on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Governor Linda Lee will start her second term, and has served since March 15, 2022 as the 21st and first female governor of North Lorray. She will also be one of the few incumbent female Governors to be sworn in for another term. She says her focus this term will be to address racism, anti-LGBTQ hate, and to address the ongoing housing crisis that continues to ripple through the state.

Porter Governor Rachel Hopkins is another governor who will be sworn in for a third term. She has served as the 40th Governor Of The State Of Porter since March 15, 2020. Hopkins says her third term will focus heavily on criminal justice reform, and police reform.

Hilson Governor Westley Bronson is being sworn in for a third term. He has served as the 20th Governor Of Hilson since March 15, 2020. He says he isn't done working for the hard working citizens of the state. He says that he will continue to address the State's high inflation, high cost of food and gas, and work to create safer streets by introducing stricter measures including activating the State's drug task forces.

The ceremonies will all take place at 9:00 AM and will be televised by each state's major news networks as well as several major Jesstopian networks. Lee, Bronson and Hopkins will all give their inaugural speeches at 9:45 AM.

NEWS 28 - Incumbent Governors Linda Lee of North Lorray, Westley Bronson Of Hilson and Rachel Hopkins of Porter will all be sworn in to start new terms on Friday.

The elections that re-elected all three of the incumbent state governors took place last month and each had a sweeping victory. Now, this month they will start their next terms which are slated to end on March 15, 2026.

When News 28 interviewed all of the Governors, they all had the same consensus. “It is time to get back to work and focus on the citizens of our states.”

Governor Lee said that she was ready to proceed with her second term, a term she won in a landslide. During her first term she said that she was focusing on the economy, inflation and job creation within North Lorray. She has been credited with reducing inflation by 46%, creating over 100,000 jobs, enriching the economy and producing more safety measures than any governor before her.

Hilson Governor Westley Bronson boasts similar accomplishments, creating over 50,000 new manufacturing and labor-driven jobs, creating a reasonable inflation reduction bill that saw a reduction in the state’s inflation by 27%. He was able to negotiate and J 2.6 billion dollar budget for fiscal year 2024.

Porter Governor Rachel Hopkins also boasts a decent record of reducing crime ridden areas, getting thousands of guns and narcotics off the streets of Porter and implementing task forces races across the State. She also has signed over 2,500 pieces of legislation in the last two years. She is credited with arresting the state’s most dangerous drug smugglers in her first year and presides over the drug task forces in question.

The swearing in ceremonies will take place at 9:00 AM, and will be hosted on major news networks of their respective states. The swearing ceremonies will take approximately 45 minutes with the governor of each giving a prepared speech to the citizens of their states.

PORTER TIMES - Porter's 56th Governor has been reelected to a third term as Governor after the race was called by the Federal Elections Board a little before 10:00 AM this morning. Hopkins says that her office received word of her victory a little after 9:50 AM.

Hopkins beat Republican Challenger Daniel Bradford who called to congratulate her on her win and says that he looks forward to working with her on important issues facing the State. Bradford says that he would seek the be elected to the State Senate where he hopes to continue his work on domestic violence survivor assistance programs and other issues he holds close to him.

Governor Hopkins has thanked her supporters, family, friends and volunteers who helped her make today's victory possible. She also gave thanks to the campaign team of Bradford and Dan Bradford himself for his kind words.

"It was nice the hear from Mr. Bradford," said Governor Rachel Hopkins. "He has what it takes to be an incredible leader, and his show of support for my continued leadership speaks volumes about him as, not just a politician, but as a human being."

She will be sworn in for her third term on March 15 and will serve out her term until February 15 when she is up for reelection, and if she chooses not to seek a fourth term, she will leave office on March 15, 2026.

St. Lorenzo - Governor Rachel Hopkins has been reelected to a third term as the state's 56th Governor as the race gets called in her favor. The Governor won at least 282 votes which were certified by the Federal Elections Board a little before 10:00 AM.

"I am humbled by the support the campaign and I have received during this election cycle," said Governor Rachel Hopkins. "I am thankful to my family, loving husband and kids, friends, volunteers, workers, the voters and everyone who has made today possible. I am forever in your debt. Thank you for making today possible and I look forward to serving the great residents of Porter for the next 2 years."

Hopkins, similar to North Lorray's Governor-elect, Linda Lee, will be sworn in for her new term on March 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM. She is the second female Governor to win reelection during the 2024 Gubernatorial election season. She will serve until March 15, 2026 if not reelected again.

Hopkins stunned the State by announcing her plans to seek a third term back in May 2023, after being shrouded in controversy over her handling of the 2023 Grand Lakes shooting response. She was called onto resign, but those calls quickly died out as she sent aid to Mesa during the 2023 Lawrence Copper Mine Collapse

Counting of votes began around 11:00 PM yesterday, and already states are close to certifying results to their respective elections. North Lorray governor Linda Lee is already at 200 out of the 270 votes needed to win reelection. A winner is expected to be announced tomorrow.

Hilson Governor Westley Bronson is at 109 out of 270 votes. It is predicted that Bronson will take the election and be reelected to his office. That was already predicted before election day. Bronson remains in a steady lead. A winner is expected to be announced Sunday.

Rachel Hopkins is currently sitting at 195 out of 270 votes. It is also predicted that she will take her state during the 2024 Gubernatorial Elections. Porter is expected to announce its Gubernatorial winner on Sunday.

Vote counters have been working since last night to count and certify votes for the North Lorray, Hilson and Porter Gubernatorial elections. When the winners are announced, the Federal Elections Board will release the official results and will also list the projected winners.

RUFUS - Voters turned out yesterday in North Lorray, Hilson and Porter to vote in candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, Comptroller and Attorney Generals. The votes are now being counted and results aren’t expected until the 23rd.

“Vote counts are very important and they take time,” said a vote counter, Friday morning. “It takes time and I implore voters to carefully watch vote tracking sites including their state elections board websites or the Federal Elections Board site for continued updates.”

According to the federal elections board, it projects that it will have all votes called by February 23. It says it asks voters to be patient during the counting of votes.

NEWS 28 - After polls closed last night at 11:00 PM, ballot counters have begun the long process of counting all of the ballots from their respective states. The process is expected to take about a week and half for all North Lorray and Hilson. Vote counts for porter are expected to take about a week.

”With three states up for reelection and so close together, it will take us some time to announce a true winner of the elections,” said Pauley Dayton, Director Of The Federal Election Board. “We expect to have all the races called by February 23, 2024.”

Linda Lee, Westley Bronson and Rachel Hopkins are all favored to keep their jobs but that doesn’t mean an foreseen change couldn’t change those predictions.

FEDERAL ELECTIONS BOARD - With election day upon us, we look to ensure that voters are well informed about their polling places, where to view election results across the three state elections being held today.

As you head to the polls, remember that voting has already started, as of 7:00 AM. Electorates from each county will then certify one vote for their counties and bureaus, which North Lorray, New Shire, South Lorray, Mesa, Hilson and Porter each have 270 electorates, but how electorates work in the United States Of Jesstopia, including in larger states such as Mesa and New Shire, they are defaulted at 270 to match every other state during its elections.

States such as Brighton and Acacia hold their elections until a candidate gets a majority of the votes, even if that is by 1 or 2 votes. Generally in this case, one candidate usually gets a majority well into the beginning of the vote certification process, such as what happened in 2014, a contentious battle between incumbent Errica Reedman and then-State Senator Parker Heaton.

Voters are expecting a contentious race in all three states but it is not known if Lee will be able to hold off Harry Adams' tight second place. She is predicted to win the office by a narrow vote margin, with several sources claiming otherwise.

"I look forward to hearing what voters think," said Governor Lee. "Not what some media site has to say. Media doesn't matter, its about the voice of the people."

NEWS 28 - Now that Election Day is here in 3 states and a race for three different offices prepares to get underway at 7:00 AM, candidates including Governor Linda Lee of North Lorray, Governor Westley Bronson of Hilson, and Governor Rachel Hopkins Of Porter are all seeking re-election.

”As we get underway with Election Day, we are reminded of the many items at risk with the new election,” said Political analyst Craig Steven’s. “Lee’s claim to power in 2022 remains a formidable factor in the 2024 elections. Remains high in polls since last week. We could be seeing the creation of a second term in office.”

It will be cool to see how the three incumbents fare against their challengers during today’s votes. Races are not expected to be called for the next two weeks. It could take more time to certify votes.

NEWS 28 - Voters in three states are gearing up to head to polls, to vote for the person who will lead their states after March 15. North Lorray, Porter and Hilson are all holding elections tomorrow, starting with polls opening at 7:00 AM.

North Lorray is predicted to reelect Linda Lee as the state's 21st Governor. Hilson's Governor Westley Bronson is also on his way to reelection. Porter's Governor Rachel Hopkins is slowly losing her grip on control as state voters say she is quickly moving away from her ideals, and that they'd like to see a newer and younger Governor.

The States are also hosting Attorney General and Comptroller Elections which coincide with the gubernatorial elections tomorrow. Voters are required to be registered to vote 6 months prior to this election to be able to vote.

"It will be a tight race this election cycle for multiple offices," said Governor Linda Lee. "I look forward to seeing how the great people of North Lorray vote and look forward to a second term in office."

JESSTOPIAN NEWS NETWORK - States ramp up preparations for election day 2024, as North Lorray, Porter and Hilson prepare to host several state office votes, including Governor, Attorney General and Comptroller.

Voters will have the option of early voting in Porter and Hilson, with North Lorray opting to not host early voting this election cycle. North Lorray Governor Linda Lee is seeking reelection as is Governor Westley Bronson and Governor Rachel Hopkins are also seeking reelection.

"It will be tight gubernatorial race as all incumbents are attempting to retain their seats," said Axel Bavis, a political expert. "Lee remains stagnant in terms of polling numbers as does Harry Adams. It is expected that this election cycle will be relatively close, but Lee has the Incumbent Advantage."

Governor Bronson has a slight lead over Perry Walters, including a 8 point lead. Bronson remains a popular Governor, more popular than most of his predecessors. Governor Rachel Hopkins is slightly leading her challenger Daniel Bradford. She remains in a lead by slim 2 points, but that lead is expected to grow as election day gets closer.

Daniel Bradford has successfully managed to snag the Republican Party's nomination by a narrow 15 points, from Marion Black. Bradford hopes to win election as Porter's Governor.
