NEWS 28 - President Jay Laylin early this morning issued Executive Orders 300.141 through 300.145 which issued a travel ban on Mexican passport and visa holders as well as foreign nationals from Mexico, even Mexican officials, and businesspeople. Mexican airlines are still allowed to enter the United States Of Jesstopia as long as they are only carrying non-Mexican passengers. The ban will officially take effect on March 1, 2025, but Mexican travelers already in the country need to visit a Visa and Traveler office to ensure they are allowed to stay in the country or if they need to leave by February 29, 2025.
The ban, which the president proposed does not lay out how long the ban could or will last, but it was drafted to serve as a continuing ban, meaning that the president could end it at any time he wishes, and no expiration of the ban is expected, also meaning, the President will not need to extend the ban, like previous presidents have done with travel bans.
"Today, very early this morning I issued a full travel ban on Mexican citizens, nationals and other passport holders from entering the United States Of Jesstopia. I also implemented a blanket travel ban, meaning that Mexicans that attempt to fly to any other country that provides service and flights directly into the United States Of Jesstopia, will be stopped from boarding those flights to the United States Of Jesstopia," said President Laylin in his address. "Already, we saw the FAA issue that any Mexican passports with plans to travel to Jesstopia, will be barred from entering those aircraft. Canada, France and Britain also introduced other measures to ensure that these individuals don't board Jesstopia-bound flights into the country. We thank these countries for their cooperation."
The President went on to say that other countries including the France, Canada and others are beginning its preparations for handling Jesstopian-bound traffic differently in the wake of the travel ban, which will take effect fully on March 1, 2025, giving those travelers time to make adequate arrangements.
"The ban also stops flights from other Spanish Speaking countries including Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba. All Hispanic countries have already been notified of my order today. They have been receptive of my orders, and my hope is that we continue to push for border security and work collectively to reform border entry and immigration policy and procedures to ensure the stability and safety of our nation's citizens. Federal officials across the globe are likely to respond negatively to the travel bans, but they have no jurisdiction of the people and borders of the United States Of Jesstopia, and I have no obligation to them, to preserve their feelings, thus these bans will likely span the duration of my Presidency," continued the President. "US President Donald Trump said that he is working to ensure Mexican individuals traveling through US airspace don't not board Jesstopian-bound flights, and says he will cooperate with our efforts to protect our borders. Further, I will look at other countries we may ban travel on at a later date, sometime this week. We are consistently assessing threats of mass illegal migration from most of our world's foreign countries."
The president said that he would also look at further sanctions on Mexico and Colombia, as well as impose sanctions on Cuba, and the Dominican Republic if they refused to comply with the travel ban and allow Mexicans from traveling to the United States Of Jesstopia.
"We know that the President is very serious about these travel bans, and we will enforce the travel bans as we continue to work to fully securing our border," said Defense Secretary Corbyn Willard. "We are not playing around with these bans, and we will arrest anyone already in our country who refuses to comply with the bans and leave Jesstopia before the March 1 deadline. Anyone not out before February 29, 2025, will only have until March 1, then, federal arrest warrants will be issued. Let this be a stark warning to those who think they will get away with defying the president's orders."
