The failed presidential candidate said that he was running to help his "people", and "gain notable federal government experience." This, according to experts, is what led to his down fall during the 2024 Presidential Election.

Further, the Presidential campaign team that worked on Thomas Cooke's presidential bid are set to work to get him elected to the Senate during the 2025 Senate elections, scheduled to take place next year between June-November. Voters may still be hesitant now to support him, but give it another six months, and voters are likely to change their mind. But we are still less than a year out from election day which will kick off sometime in June.

"While we lost the presidency, my hope is to gain more federal government experience, working for the hard working people of New Shire, and ensure individual rights are being upheld," said a jubilant Thomas Cooke. "We can win this thing, push more legislation to help make living easier. Make it more affordable and ensure lower drug costs than any other Congress in history."

My hope, and my review of my presidential loss, is to focus on a shifting political landscape and recenter our country on a course to greatness, fairness and more tolerance. Cooke announced his candidacy at a speaking event where he met with students of political studies at Bradford University, and he announced his candidacy there, where he received thunderous applause.

NEWS 28 - Jay Laylin's victory is being questioned by several pro-LGBTQ groups who are claiming widespread voter and electoral fraud. The groups claim that the race was called way to early and the certification of votes seemed to be done quicker than its been done in the past.

Court filings show that the group is suing the Federal Elections Board, because they claim "widespread," and "systematic", voter fraud, as well as electoral fraud. The group claims that Thomas Cooke should have won the 2024 Presidential Election. The groups also claims that the election was rushed and called just mere days after the close of the election.

"We are working to get the results recounted to ensure that fraud didn't occur," said a member of one of the groups suing. "Thomas Cooke should have won, so it seems awfully suspicious that the election results were called so quick. We are just seeking to ensure that the election is fair."

A Federal court judge will determine if their case has any merit, and will likely make a ruling next week, as this case is time sensitive. If the judge approves a recount of votes, Jay Laylin and Thomas Cooke would have to be there to see the votes be counted.

"There is no merit to this case and a judge will see that pretty quickly," said Mark Platt, the attorney for the Federal Elections Board. "The F.E.B is a very respected and honest organization that seeks to provide results to an election, and call races. It doesn't have any political affiliation with any party or candidate. This case will be thrown out by Monday, I can assure you that."

RUFUS - A day following the 2024 Presidential Election's conclusion, and Jay Laylin being named the 2024 Presidential winner, LGBTQ+ groups are suing the Federal Elections Board to force a recount of the Presidential vote. A spokesperson for the law office representing the groups say that the ongoing matter is between the client and lawyers, and that she couldn't say anything related to the case.

NEWS 28 - Mesa has begun processing and counting voter ballots from the 2024 Mesa Gubernatorial election after polls closed at 7:00 PM. Candidates Joshua Adamson and Joseph Cooke say they look forward to winning the election, and didn't mention any possibility of losing.

According to poll watchers, over 5.2 million voters cast a ballot today with about 2.9 million voters either not being able to vote or choosing to not vote. But they say that this election may take longer to call than normal due to the stress on the polling places since the 2024 Presidential Elections that were held on Wednesday.

"We expect the results of this election to take longer because we are still processing out ballots from the Presidential Elections held in our polling places two days ago," said Burton County Election Commissioner Martin Ford. "We ask that you give us time to process these ballots. We will able to scan them fast, as soon as we get more poll workers available to help us count the ballots."

As for the election, the candidate who wins at least 270 vote bank points will be named the victor. In the 2021 special election that elected Kirk Paul as the 19th Governor Of Mesa, saw him win at least 292 vote bank points. While we don't expect this to be the case, forecasts think that Joshua Adamson will have a little bit of a Vote Bank back and forth with Joseph Cooke. The forecast has not yet modeled who the potential winner of the election could be.

Both Joshua Adamson and Joseph Cooke say they will remain patient as votes are counted, but say while they will be patient, they are eager to know who won the election. Both men are hoping to win the office, but as Mesa handed Jay Laylin it's vote bank points, which led to his victory, many voters both Nationalist and Republican believe that Adamson will win a first full term.

House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf issued a congratulations via a House Speaker Website post to President-Elect Jay Laylin and Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle. Both men are set to speak later this morning to address their supporters and voters who helped win them the Nationalist House.

"There is not much I can say but that I am ecstatic to work as your president," said President-Elect Jay Laylin. "The work we will be able to accomplish now that I will be President is something that I look forward to being able to accomplish for the great people of this country. Our veterans should come before immigrants. Israel shouldn't be punished for defending itself. Inflation shouldn't be so high and gas and grocery prices need to come down. I will work to do that starting Day one on November 16. Thank you all, I love you, god bless you and God bless the United States Of Jesstopia."

Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle also issued a statement about Laylin and his victory.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That is all I can say. You are all amazing, allowing Jay Laylin to make history being the very first head of state of this great country since the founding of our country," said Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle. "There is so much work to be done to get our country back on track. We have so much to do to lower your grocery, gas and housing costs. We have so much work to do to ensure our veterans are getting the care and medical equipment, medications they need at prices they can afford. Let's send illegal immigrants back across the border and out of our country. Let's get our country back to being one of the greatest countries in the world."

Both President-Elect Jay Laylin and Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle will be flying to Rufus County, to meet with President John McCallum as well as meet with other Nationalist House officials. The transition team is now underway planning the Laylin's and Bindle's move into the Nationalist House and Freedom House respectively.

House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf issued a congratulations via a House Speaker Website post to President-Elect Jay Laylin and Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle. Both men are set to speak later this morning to address their supporters and voters who helped win them the Nationalist House.

"There is not much I can say but that I am ecstatic to work as your president," said President-Elect Jay Laylin. "The work we will be able to accomplish now that I will be President is something that I look forward to being able to accomplish for the great people of this country. Our veterans should come before immigrants. Israel shouldn't be punished for defending itself. Inflation shouldn't be so high and gas and grocery prices need to come down. Vice President-Elect Cole Bindle also issued a statement about Laylin and his victory.

The transition team is now underway planning the Laylin's and Bindle's move into the Nationalist House and Freedom House respectively.

NEWS 28 - Jay Laylin has officially received the Vote Bank Points from Le Mont, a move he hoped the state would take to help him win the Jesstopian Presidency. But, while he receives those vote points, he is still eyeing Porter to give him a landslide victory. He thanked the voters of Le Mont for the support while thanking the rest of the state's that voted for him.

"This election was absolutely incredible," said Davis County Supervisor Of Elections Jared Kesh. "Never before have we seen an election so sure, as well as the great work that our Federal Election Board partners did to ensure the results were kicked out very fast. This is the fastest we have been able to release our votes because of how equipped we were for this election."

The election is expected to be called early tomorrow morning, instead of Saturday. The election board says that the last election that was called this fast, was in 2018, but that was due to time limitations and no set time to carry out a slower and more accurate count of votes. But that election was fairly reported and called, the board said. But this year's election is going to be called fast due to the increase in poll watchers, workers and certifiers that were able to quickly and effectively get the ballot count for each state, and than they quickly counted the votes for each candidate. While the counting of votes is almost done, the election doesn't officially end until the Certification Center calls the race and the Senate certifies the results of the election which will be done on November 5, 2024.
