This ultimately will unlock the full powers of the Speakership to allow him to legislate and preside over house proceedings.

"It is imperative that a speaker be in office before the September 5 election," said Representative Braden Harris. "Today I will file a motion to fill the Speaker's chair, nominating Matthew Carrington has the Speaker of the House, until the House convenes for a secondary vote for Speaker in September. He has proven that he is a worthy leader in the four days he has served as Speaker Pro Tempore. If the House approves this bill, then a vote can therefore be triggered, and a Speaker can occupy the Speaker's chair before the September election. I urge my fellow Nationalists to support this motion, so that we can man the Speaker's chair with one of our own."

Calls for an early vote reverberated throughout the House in the weeks leading up to LeWolf's departure from the office, but she refused to hold that election, something she as Speaker could do legally. Representatives said that a vote to fill the Speaker's chair should have happened in December. It never happened.

"I think it is important that we get him into the Speaker's chair, so he can wield the full power of the Speakership," continued Harris. "It is very important that we have a steady incumbent in the Speaker's chair so that we can go into the election ahead of the Republican party."

Harris is set to lay the motion onto the table during Thursday's meeting of the House, and he is set to table the motion on the Speaker Pro Tempore's desk who will then decide whether or not to push to vote onto the House floor. If the motion passes, Carrington will be come the 33rd Speaker of the House. If it fails, he remains as Speaker Pro Tempore.

NEWS 28 - The House at 8:45 this morning voted on the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, where it passed 299-212, with 85 Nationalists supporting the bill. Now that the bill has passed, the House is preparing for several more votes as the Inflation Reduction Act prepares to head to the Senate for their vote.

However, Senate votes take longer than normal as Senators have staggered schedules and only meet once a week as a whole chamber.

NEWS 28 - Former Speaker Of The House, Gretchen LeWolf announced early this morning that she was asking Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington to call a vote on an impeachment inquiry that now has received harsh criticism from her own party and Republicans.

In a brief submitted to the House leadership, including her former Deputy, Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington, she accuses the president of inciting mass targeting of illegals by Jesstopians, and says that his rhetoric has led to the injury of over 25,000 illegal immigrants. She says that by spewing hate filled rhetoric, he contributed to thousands of illegals being terrorized and harmed.

"I am asking that an impeachment inquiry be started into President Jay Laylin, for leading in, spewing hate-filled rhetoric that has led the injury of at least 25,000 illegal immigrant who were sent back to their countries of origins," said Representative Gretchen LeWolf. "I ask Speaker Pro Temp, to move for a floor vote on an impeachment inquiry of President Jay Laylin, who led to mass targeting of illegals, leading to violent attacks on these individuals."

When asked about her attempts at an impeachment inquiry, Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington said that it was her right to push for a vote, and that he would leave it up to House members, and said he doesn't support the impeachment, and says plenty of other members of the House don't support it either.

"While I personally don't agree with the attempts to impeach the President, she has every right to bring the motion to the floor, as a member of the House," said Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington. "I believe that as Speaker Pro Tempore, it is my duty to ensure all members of the House are heard, and not just those I agree with. If she brings the inquiry to the House floor and members agree to voting on it, I will support their decision as my duty entails. Many Nationalists won't support the impeachment but again, it is up to house members."

"I believe this "impeachment inquiry" is very much a retaliatory act," said Representative Braden Harris. "She has made very clear statements that she would fight his administration in every way possible, and has a strong discontent for the President. She knows that this impeachment attempt will go no where, and I am ready to stand up against it."

Representative Gina Horschel defended President Laylin against LeWolf claiming that she was just in it for retaliation for being forced to step down as Speaker for her anti-Laylin rhetoric.

"The President is less than 2 month into his presidency and he has introduced legislation that I don't necessarily agree with, but as President is his prerogative," said Horschel. "But LeWolf's attempt to 'get even' by means of impeachment don't hold any bearing or weight. She is just angered at the fact that she was forced to step down, because of the choice she made to knowingly and willingly prevent important border security legislation that would protect the national interest of Jesstopia and the people that live here. I will not support the impeachment effort. He's done absolutely nothing to warrant the process even being brought up."

Senate Majority Leader Larry Cofelt, an outspoke critic of President Laylin even called the move a shame, and harmful to the effective governance of Jesstopia.

"I am extremely disappointed in Representative Gretchen LeWolf's decision to move for an impeachment inquiry," said Leader Larry Cofelt. "She is effectively using the power she has to get retaliation against the President. I think it is a miscarriage of justice and power, and I will see to it that this impeachment inquiry is rejected. I call on my House leadership colleagues to do the same. It is a shame and harmful to the effective governance of our great land."

The act would seek to cut unnecessary funding from funding bills, reduce program spending and end committee allocations of funding for non-essential items. Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington announced that the vote would be held on Wednesday.

Carrington said that it was the first major legislation to be voted on during the new Congress, and said that reducing inflation played a major role in ensuring economic growth, lowering the cost of living within the United States Of Jesstopia as well as promoting the housing market, by making it more affordable to buy homes.

"The 2024 Inflation Reduction Act is one of the various bills the House will vote on tomorrow's session of the House, and we know that the economy has been a weak point for Nationalists, and it is time we get to work for Jesstopians," said Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington. "We are set to vote on the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, the 2024 Government Transparency Act, and the 2024 Wasteful Government Spending Act. Others include several LGBTQ-related bills as well. "We must work to provide results that benefit the Jesstopian people, even if that means reaching across the isle to deliver results for the people of this country, not government and not in our special interests," said Deputy Speaker Matthew Carrington. "We must not let our own interests get in the way of the job we were elected to do to ensure that the people of this great nation are served. We are elected officials, not god-anointed officials, like the King Of England. We work for the people, and are elected by the people. Let's not forget that."

Carrington said that he is committed to working with both sides of the House to ensure votes are put to the floor in an effective and timely manner, work on securing the border, and ensuring that the economy is put at the forefront of House activity. He says that while he is only Speaker Pro Tempore, he hopes to rally his caucus around supporting secure borders, lowering the cost of living and ensuring the homeland is secured from terrorists.

"We have a mandate from the Jesstopian people that should be clear as day that they didn't like the way things have been done," continued Carrington. "It was made clear when the people voted for our nation's very first head of state, and the very first Republican president in October. We can't forget that, and we must ensure we work for all people and not the people of Congress."

Speaker LeWolf will leave the speaker's chair around 9:00 AM tomorrow, and it is expected that she will personally hand the gavel over to Deputy Speaker Carrington, who will then take his place on Speaker's chair as Speaker Pro Tempore.

"I am honored to have served this great House as its speaker," said Speaker LeWolf. "I am honored to have worked hard for the people of my district and across this country. I know we accomplish so much more and provide a more secure future for all going forward. I look forward to finishing off the remainder of my term. Thank you all."

RUFUS - House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf is preparing to leave the Speaker's chair tomorrow, and as she does that, Deputy Speaker Matthew Carrington is preparing to become Speaker Pro Tempore, and is preparing by looking to the future, rallying his caucus to work closely with the Laylin administration to work hard for the Jesstopian people and deliver the results he says "they want."

Embattled Speaker LeWolf is set to leave the Speaker's chair tomorrow, but she will remain in Congress for the duration of her remaining term, which is set to expire in November. She has also said that she isn't running for reelection during the 2025 Congressional elections.

"We must work to provide results that benefit the Jesstopian people, even if that means reaching across the isle to deliver results for the people of this country, not government and not in our special interests," said Deputy Speaker Matthew Carrington. "We must not let our own interests get in the way of the job we were elected to do to ensure that the people of this great nation are served. Carrington said that he is committed to working with both sides of the House to ensure votes are put to the floor in an effective and timely manner, work on securing the border, and ensuring that the economy is put at the forefront of House activity. He says that while he is only Speaker Pro Tempore, he hopes to rally his caucus around supporting secure borders, lowering the cost of living and ensuring the homeland is secured from terrorists.

"We have a mandate from the Jesstopian people that should be clear as day that they didn't like the way things have been done," continued Carrington. "It was made clear when the people voted for our nation's very first head of state, and the very first Republican president in October. We can't forget that, and we must ensure we work for all people and not the people of Congress."

Speaker LeWolf will leave the speaker's chair around 9:00 AM tomorrow, and it is expected that she will personally hand the gavel over to Deputy Speaker Carrington, who will then take his place on Speaker's chair as Speaker Pro Tempore.
