NEWS 28 - Product Mart Stores Inc announced on Saturday that it had selected current Product Mart Chief Operations Officer Mark Garlow to serve as its 6th CEO, succeeding Ronald Chlabowy on October 25, 2025.

The company announced early on Saturday morning that Garlow had been selected to serve in the role, and that he was chosen for his "ability to adapt and develop based on the needs of the company as a whole." Product Mart's board of directors issued that Garlow would serve for a term of 5 years with contract extensions possible, meaning that Garlow will serve until 2030 with the possibility to extend his contract.

"We are so pleased to announce Garlow as our next Chief Executive Officer of this incredible brand," said CEO Ronald Chlabowy. Garlow was not available for comment but his office said that he was ready to take on the responsibility and was honored to be able to serve in the role as the company's 6th Chief Executive Officer.

RUFUS - On Saturday, Product Mart Stores Inc, the parent company of Product Mart Inc, announced that outgoing CEO Ronald Chlabowy will be succeeded by Product Mart Chief Operations Office Mark Garlow who will become the 6th CEO Of Product Mart.

PEACH TREE - Jesstopian Retail Giant Product Mart has announced that it was planning to fund a project that would allow Product Mart Express to franchise stores, and create a more community oriented layout for the smaller Product Mart brand. In a brief statement, the company addressed the reasoning for doing so.

"To better ensure our Product Mart Express customers are getting served, and to ensure that the stores in those communities that they are operated, are run and operated by a local of that town," said Product Mart CEO Ronald Chlabowy. "It is essential for the survival of our company to grow and expand and change the way we do business. It is an important step for Product Mart to begin to expand outward and by franchising our Product Mart Express stores, we are furthering our company's success."

While the company announced plans to change Product Mart Express to a franchise, it has yet to disclose when it would start accepting applications. The company said it wouldn't be able to give a definite timeline of when future franchisee's can begin submitting applications.

"It is still a long process, and as Product Mart will be required federally to change the way Product Mart Express operates, and obtaining the right licensing to ensure that the Franchisee's who apply, will be able to sign completed contracts," said Chief Operations Officer Mark Garlow. "There is still years of work that needs to be done, so we can expect the brand to operate as Franchise in the next 2-3 years."

Company officials say they will likely vote to effect the way Product Mart Express operates. Many say this change is absolutely necessary for the survival of Product Mart Express, which is slated by Ron Chlabowy to end services in early 2030. They are hoping that by changing Product Mart Express into a franchise brand, it will "renew and reinvigorate the way business is conducted through the Product Mart Express brand."

PEACH TREE - Retail giant Product Mart has announced that starting next week it will begin construction on 25 of its proposed 400 new stores that was introduced in a budget package last year by Chief Executive Officer Ronald Chlabowy.

"Our company continues to look for ways to construct more stores to allow us to reach more customers," said Ronald Chlabowy. "The dates for the start of construction had been planned but then delayed, so we are finally ready to unveil the city, state, type of store and when construction is expected. The company also introduced last month, several different concepts for the new stores and says that it "looks forward to providing a more modern shopping experience to its customers."

Company executives say that the stores will have a different look then the ones that customers shop at now. With these new stores, the company says customers can expect an all new streamlined way of shopping. It also says these new stores will be the launch store to all new sustainable packing, stricter guidelines for products and food products. The new stores will also have a larger-open concept design including large glass windows that will encompass the shopping areas.

"We are ready to move Product Mart towards a modern future, and ensure customers receive products they love and prices they deserve," said Chlabowy. "We can expect these new stores to be completed within the next 2-3 years. We're ready for the much needed change.

RUFUS - Product Mart Chief Executive Officer turns 62 today, and has expressed that he is not finished working just yet. The Executive, who at 60 became the 5th Product Mart CEO was seen sporting swim shorts at Alden Beach, in Alden, Mesa early this afternoon.

"While I am 62, my role at Product Mart is far from over, and like many business executives in my industry, I won't retire until I'm into my late 60s or early 70s. I'm not done working yet."

The executive said that his role as Product Mart continues to inspire him to push forward in his work. He says that although he'll remain Product Mart's CEO until 2031, he plans on doing other work after leaving Product Mart.

Executives from across the country as wishing him birthday wishes and many others are wishing him happy birthday as well.

"Ronald Chlabowy has become a popular figurehead within our company not just for the executive management, but for associates, customers and employees. He is a personable guy, who cares about this company and the people who make it run. As he turns 62, he vows anew, to push Product Mart well into the future, and says he's ready to upgrade aging technologies to ensure Product Mart leads the way with the best technology to ensure continued operational successes," says Chief Operations Officer Mark Garlow. Product Mart has also announced that Chlabowy will be off of work until Monday so that he can spend time with family and friends from across the nation.

ARROW HEAD - Product Mart has announced that Mark Garlow has begun his role as the company's eleventh Chief Operations Officer. He took on his role at around noon today.

"We are excited to have join our executive team and can't wait to work with him to reach our company's goals," said CEO Ron Chlabowy. "I have the utmost confidence in his abilities and am so happy with the choice I've made to succeed Joseph Richards."

The company says that he will maintain Richards' salary for the first year, than he will see a 20% increase at the start of his second year.

I have been with Product Mart for more than 15 years and I look forward to the next 15," said Mark Garlow, COO. "This company has been a giant staple in my life and finally getting to serve in an executive position has been a dream of mine since I was an hourly truck off loader. "

The company says he begun his duties a little after noon. Garlow will attend his first finance conference in early Summer 2023 where he will give his first Financial report which will be the most important of his career.

RUFUS - Product Mart has named Mark Garlow its brand new Chief Operations Officer, and he doesn't start his new role until March 15. Before he assumes his role, we sat down with Garlow and he let us get a sneak peek at who he is and what he will offer Product Mart in terms of his role as Chief Operations Officer.

During the interview, and our questioning, I observed him and as I continued to speak to him, he seemed very worried about the employees of the company, citing systematic changes that need to be implemented to allow the company to move forward and ensure happy associates are retained.

Getting To Know Mark Garlow: The Brand New Chief Operations Officer Of Product Mart

Mark Garlow graduated from Braxton University in 1996, where he managed to obtain his Masters in Business Administration, a degree that took him four years to obtain. After finishing college, he started up a small chain of gas stations, and also managed to successfully operate his father's small farm in Braxton. From there he was hired by Product Mart, in 2008, where worked as an hourly associate for the company, unloading trucks before being promoted to backroom supervisor. He served in that role for 5 years before becoming a store manager. During his time as store manager, he worked to implement a friendlier environment and ensure all associates were taken care of. He also raked in sales of up to 25 Million between 2013-2016, and over 46 Million between 2016-2022.

Garlow has three sons and is married to his wife Lindsey Garlow, who works for New Shire State as one of its Child Services agents. She previously served in multiple business positions before ultimately deciding to work for the state. The two married in 2002.

Garlow says that he is ready to work to better the operations of Product Mart and says he looks forward to ensuring the company reaches its long-term goals of operational success while remaining a low-price retailer for its customers.

"During my role as Product Mart's Chief Operations Officer, I will ensure we meet important goals, lower costs for customers, and work to build more stores," said Garlow. "Our company's growth depends on my leadership and success and my role as this company's COO is not a responsibility I will take lightly. I look forward to working with everyone and hope we can implement meaningful change."
