NEWS 28 - President Jay Laylin announced that the Department Of Homeland Security received a complete list of all border crossings that occurred under former President John McCallum from 2020 to 2023, but did confirm that 2024's border crossing numbers have yet to be released.

"The numbers don't lie," said Homeland Secretary Marcus Welder. "This is unbelievable, and the Nationalists would never have released such data had they won the Nationalist House in October. Jesstopians should be concerned for the lack of accountability that the Nationalist Party has about our borders and how many people actually were recorded entering our country by illegal means."

The Department Of Defense says that it will work to gather further undocumented immigrant data, and compile a list of those who entered illegally into the country, but were not documented before crossing the border.

"We are working hard to ensure we get the identities of those individuals who entered our country illegally," said Defense Secretary Corbyn Willard. "We are working with the DHS to ensure they have a full and accurate list so that they can find and deport these individuals."

The data also shows that former President John McCallum authorized the catch and release of illegals into the United States Of Jesstopia. This policy played key factor in Jay Laylin being elected President in October. It is estimated that at least 10 - 12 million illegals entered the country during the last year of John McCallum's presidency.

The data provided shows that over 66 million crossings occurred under the McCallum administration from 2020 to 2023. 2024 Data would likely push that number over 80 million illegal crossings, when it is released at the start of next month.

The Jesstopian Army, Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy servicemen and women are being told to enforce strict immigration detention practices, meaning that they are now authorized to detain and process illegal immigrants who are either in the country already or who are trying to get over. Officials at the border are working to stop immigrants from entering the border, and are working with state, federal and military officials to aid in this goal.

"President Laylin issued that he wanted to send 50,000 Jesstopian troops to the different points of entry into the United States Of Jesstopia to stop the immigration of the illegals, while simultaneously getting those that are already in the country," said Secretary Of Homeland Security Marcus Welder. "The President doesn't need to go through Congress to do this, and he has made it very clear that he will do as much as he can to secure our borders, before needing to ask Congress for approval for any emergency funding or approval to make border moves. We will continue to provide the troops he needs, and will continue to support securing our borders."

The President is working to provide more funding for special operations at the border, which will allow further efforts to take place, which will stop the high levels of illegal immigration. His homeland security team is also preparing immigration data for the president to review. It is expected that over 12.2 million illegals will be deported between now and 2026.
