NOX - Product Mart recently announced that it was pulling out of the Nox City agreement to build the brand new store, but announced that it would honor the memorial that they promised, to honor the victim memorial that they promised back in July.
"It was a choice we didn't make lightly, but one that comes after severe budget cutbacks by the Financial Department," said a Product Mart spokesperson. "The company is abandoning the plans it had for over three months, and is currently working on a memorial site for the victims of Store 1430's bombing."
Nox City, residents are petitioning to require Product Mart to stay in the current agreement and ensure that they build a new store, and are ready to sue the company for abandoning their contract with the City.
The company has not made any further comment regarding dropping out of the current agreement to build a new store and the agreement that was created between Product Mart and Nox City in early August.
Mayor Brosnik has expressed anger over the bailing out of Product Mart and for the company violating the contractual agreement of both Nox City and itself.
"This is a blatant violation of the agreement Nox City and Product Mart made after the bombing," said Mayor Brosnik. "It makes me very angry that they are bailing on a new store. We will continue to fight their decision in court and will keep city residents updated. The North Lorray Attorney General is also filing a lawsuit against Product Mart for "failing to meet a legally binding contractual agreement by means of abandonment which is a series Business crime in the State."
The State Attorney General has not made any comment or statement regarding further plans to sue but directed us to contact them at a later date. More will be provided as it becomes available to us. We will continue to update our readers as we gather more details and intel.
