ALDEN - Former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul, says he will make a return to politics in 2026, 10 months after leaving the Governor's office in disgrace, for his harmful LGBTQ policies, that targeted them and spread statewide hate for the Transgender community. The Former Governor, said in a statement when he started hosting Alden Prime Time that he'd "consider another political run."
"It is with great honor, and great excitement for the future, that I will return to politics in 2026," said Paul. "I have given it some thought and I think it's time for me to return to my passion."
The Republican Party seems ready to have him back as fallout over his handling of the Trans community once he left office and those on the Nationalist party say they are working to formally impeach him on the charges he wasn't forced to answer.
"It is a disgrace, he should not be allowed to run for public office again, and it hasn't even been a year since he left in disgrace from the Governor's office," said Joseph Cooke, 2024 Gubernatorial Candidate. "He has continued to undermine the Transgender community with his harmful policies and he should not be given the opportunity to hold power again."
Other Nationalists across the state and country are also calling on the Nationalist Party of Mesa to try an impeachment. He is still within the 2 year period and if it successful they can move to prevent him from holding office either permanently or for a fixed amount of time.
