2026 North Lorray Gubernatorial Election

NEWS 28 - 2026 North Lorray Gubernatorial candidates have already kicked off their campaigns which will begin the lengthy and cutthroat campaign process. It is likely that Rigg and Lee will be the likely the main focus of this campaign, according to several public polls.

Senator Joey Rigg has been the subject of a severe allegation of sexual assault and sexual misconduct against an American prostitute, that forced him to drop out of the 2025 Senate race, something he says he was “forced to do”. Rigg has remained highly popular among Republicans voters across North Lorray who say the allegations are politically motivated and who say that it is quite despicable what the prostitute is doing to try and derail his string and lengthy career in the Senate.

”I find it hard to believe that this women is accusing him of sexual assault so close to an election,” said a Man from Nox City who has voted for Republicans since 1977. “Why didn’t she come forward before she knew he was seeking reelection. Because it is politically motivated.”

Governor Linda Lee has remained highly popular among voters as well, and has remained one of the top highest rating Governors among her 12 fellow colleagues. She enjoys strong polling numbers which is very important for an incumbent. However, more Republicans have been registering to vote than ever before and they say Lee has failed to uphold her duties and campaign promises to make North Lorray more affordable to live.

”She has failed to uphold the promises she made back in 2022, to lower all major taxes, increase livability and and lower the burden of the state’s record high inflation,” said Republican Senator Joey Rigg. “She wants to lead your state for four more years, where she will crash the state into the ground, crippling the people that live here. We can not afford another four years of her reckless spending and pointless policies that do nothing for the economy. Jobs are fleeting the state and our largest city, Nox, has become a major cesspool for crime and illegal aliens. It needs to end.”

Governor Lee says she has done more for the State in the last years years than Senator Joey Rigg has done in his career as a Jesstopian Senator. She says that Rigg is a womanizer, rapist and abuser who should not be allowed to serve as the Governor of North Lorray. She pulled at the hearts of her supporters to claim that if given the opportunity to serve as Governor, more women would be abused and thrown to the wolves.

”Our state cannot afford to have Joey Rigg serving in this great office. He is a womanizer, rapist and abuser, who if given the power of this office will harm even more woman,” said Governor Linda Lee. “He can not be put in this office and my hope is that the work I’ve been able to accomplish in the last three years, will be enough to keep me here. I will not stop fighting for woman across this state. We can’t have an abuser serve as Governor.”

Based on their campaign, this is going to be a very long campaign season and it is any one’s guess what will come next. Experts say this could be a nasty campaign season and say that a lot is bound to be revealed. Linda Lee has incumbency advantage and Joey Rigg will have to fight like hell to defeat her in the election which is scheduled for February 15, 2026.

Joey Rigg is facing serious charges of sexual abuse and misconduct, which led to his forced withdrawal from the 2025 Senate race. He has publicly and privately maintained his innocence saying that it was orchestrated to derail "my political career." Rigg has not yet been convicted, but he was forced to step away from the Senate at the end of his current term, in a deal with Senate leadership.

"As disappointing is my forced hand in terms of my Senate career, I look forward to moving forward with my political career. I have always been about the people, for the people and serving the great people of North Lorray has been the forefront to which I built my political career," said Senator Joey Rigg. "That is why today I announce, proudly, that I am seeking to defeat Governor Linda Lee and be elected as the 22nd Governor Of North Lorray for the first ever four year term of North Lorray. We need real change here in the North Lorray, and my state has been under attack from liberalism and Republicans and Conservatives being targeted for disagreeing with the LGBTQ community, more specifically the transgender community. We must restore the values of our state, and ensure that the state recognizes only two genders as male and female are the only biological genders that a person can have. Join us in working for the people, ending the transgender nightmare that North Lorray has been forced to endure."

Rigg isn't disqualified from running for office, but it is heavily likely that the Republican party will put up stronger candidates to pit against Linda Lee who has served as the 21st Governor Of North Lorray since 2022. She was reelected in 2024, and has already announced she will seek a third term in office. She has been the party's preference since she announced her reelection bid.

Rigg says he will announce the launch of his official campaign and says he looks forward to the campaign trail. If he wins the election, he will be the first Republican to serve in the role in more than 5 years.
