NEWS 28 - Thomas Cooke recently requested that Sharona Maples step down in November if he wins the 2024 Presidential Elections to allow him to select a brand new FCIS Director for his administration.

Maples obliged and said that she would be stepping down as Director Of The FCIS on November 18, 2024, regardless of who wins the 2024 Presidential Election. Furthermore, Thomas Cooke has expressed great appreciation for the work she has done as the 52nd director of the agency.

The agency says that its new head will take on the role as the 52nd Director regardless of who wins in October, thus making it certain that Maples will leave office then. It has not been provided on what Maples will do once leaving office.

Thomas Cooke's campaign is very confident that they will win the election and are already making moves to implement his administration into the various cabinet, secretarial and military roles upon inauguration day(of course if he wins), and if he assumes the role as the 3rd President Of The United States Of Jesstopia.

"Thomas Cooke came to me to thank me for my dedication to the FCIS, but did ask me to step aside in November so that he can choose another FCIS director," said Maples. "I have agreed to step aside to allow him to choose my replacement. I will serve out the remainder of my term until November 18, 2024. If he is not to win the election in 2024, I will still not continue as the FCIS Director under a Republican President."

RUFUS - According to sources at the Federal Crimes Investigative Service, Sharona Maples has been asked by Nationalist Presidential Nominee Thomas Cooke to step aside if he wins in October. He asked her to step aside to allow him to select her successor personally.

Cooke is relatively unpopular among Republican voters and has been since he became Lt. Governor Of New Shire back in 2021. There is a lot of work he will need to do in order to have any chance at winning the state's vote bank points."

Thomas Cooke, 2024 Nationalist Presidential Nominee Slowly Inches His Way Back Up On Polls.

RUFUS - 2024 Presidential nominee Thomas Cooke, slowly inches his way back up on polls, a week after it was announced that he was losing to Republican front-runner Jay Laylin. But recent polls suggest that Thomas Cooke is making a strong come back as the polls show that he is trailing only 38 points behind Laylin who previously had a 68 point lead against the Governor.

Cooke has slowly been gaining his lead that he once held for 3 years. As he continues to rally around the nation, he has sparked debate as to whether he would accept the nomination or if he'd seek to reopen the campaign, as he has yet to accept the nomination, the very nomination he was granted on December 29, 2023.

But his polling numbers are showing that he is still very popular among Nationalists, and if he accepts their nomination, he will likely be inaugurated as the 3rd President of the United States of Jesstopia in November. Even as election day gets closer, and less than a year away, we can expect Cooke to take the nomination and dominate in the polls.

NEWS 28 - 2024 Presidential candidate Thomas Cooke has expressed that he wants to establish a stronger Social Security program and eventually replace the Personal Income Program, commonly referenced as PIP. The program was established in 1910 and has been used to track, manage and regulate the savings of working Jesstopians and ensures that seniors aged 60+ have a hefty retirement.

"The program would help regulate the existing PIP program that would eventually be replaced under my administration, if elected President in 2024," said Cooke. "But even with PIP in place, the program will run out of money by 2049, a supplemental program will be needed to ensure funding through 2135."

The purpose of PIP is to ensure continuity of payments to those who paid their PIP taxes throughout their adult working life, which generally are covered for the better part of 4 or 5 decades.

He will make a great president and he is eager to get working for the people of the United States Of Jesstopia.

NEWS 28 - Days after it was announced that 2024 Presidential candidate and New Shire Governor Thomas Cooke was a potential target of an assassination plot, his popularity with voters has skyrocketed.

According to a recent voter poll, his response to the plans was seen as a leader-type response and many pollsters say they see that as a strong leader not afraid of what other countries may try to pull on him. Others say that it gave them confidence that he won't shy away from working to address tough issues, even if it threatens his safety.

"It is unbelievable the things that people will do to disrupt this country's democracy," said Republican Senator James Richie. "As a candidate, Thomas Cooke is a valuable player in continuing the presidency. He should not and can not be threatened. He has Presidential Protective Service for his entire campaign and he is, under Constitutional law, is considered, for a short time a federal official until he loses the race or chooses not to continue running for office."

Several law enforcement agencies across the country are ramping up their efforts to ensure Cooke's rally's are protected. Governor Joshua Adamson, who is heavily opposed to Thomas Cooke, said the Mesa Highway Patrol will ramp up their presence and security when he visits the state during his Mesa For Cooke rally on October 1, 2023.

The suspect who was arrested following his tweet, is cooperating with police and investigators from the PPS. He is expected to face a judge next month and a trial will be held.

RUFUS - New Shire Governor and 2024 Presidential Candidate Thomas Cooke has recently been considered a target for assassination after the Presidential Protective Service was scrolling through Twitter, to find a potential threat against President McCallum.

According to the PPS, a twitter user tweeted a message that said:

"I want to inflict death upon Thomas Cooke so that he may not become President in 2024 and to ensure that a dumbass isn't elected to run the country. He has harmed this state for far too long and we can't afford to have him run our nation. I also plan to go to his mansion and shoot him."

The twitter user's account was suspended and the Presidential Protective Service is currently investigating the tweet and say that it is a credible threat against the Presidential candidate.

Warrants were issued to allow the user's computers to be seized and a search warrant was granted to search the user's home. Their identity is not being released at this time as the investigation unfolds. The person is however in custody.

RUFUS - 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate, Cole Bindle says that the Nationalist Party, more specifically, the McCallum Administration has failed Jesstopia with his harmful policies on straight individual's liberties and rights, and continues to support a war that is detrimental to the foreign relations of the United States Of Jesstopia.

"President McCallum and his Nationalist puppets, are failing to see the harm that continuing to send weapons and munitions to Ukraine is doing to the Jesstopian Military and Economy," said Cole Bindle. "He continues to feed the beast(Ukraine) who sees the weapons as a way to use Jesstopia and who won't hesitate to milk our country dry of its military equipment and resources. If Jay Laylin is elected President in 2024, he will cut all ties with Ukraine, and will end the non-paying Ukrainian Government's use of our nation. Our administration would work to ensure Ukraine pays back every penny we've given them."

As the 2024 Presidential Elections get close, many speculate if these words would have an effect on what party will control the Nationalist House from 2024-2028. What is certain though, it is expected to be a nasty race and voters are gearing up for a fight to the death between Thomas Cooke, and Jay Laylin, two people who remained unfriendly during the 2023 State Of The Union Address.

"Cole Bindle, are only driven to divide our nation, and split our people apart. The only thing Bindle has done that benefited our country was stuffing his pockets with millions, which in effect pumped more currency into circulation. While he sat on the hefty salary increase, Jesstopians struggled," said Thomas Cooke. "He doesn't care what anyone has to say, if it doesn't mean he'll get richer."

Cooke continues to call out Bindle, and says Laylin and Bindle will harm this country two-fold. He says they can't be elected in 2024, and says he hopes Jesstopian voters will see through the lies.

"The unbelievable lies this man spews is quite horrific. Anyone who thinks our goal is to destroy our military's armories, does not have one clue about how the military works. We don't just give our arms," said President McCallum. "We have deals that go on behind the scenes that Senators and Minority leaders aren't authorized to see or who don't have the security clearances to see."

RUFUS - Governor Thomas Cooke turns 54 tomorrow and his birthday marks the beginning phases of his 2024 Presidential campaign plans. In a recent statement, Cooke announced that the official start day of his 2024 Presidential Campaign will be September 15, 2023, and will conclude on October 12, 2024, when early voting starts during the 2024 Presidential elections.

The Governor's presidential campaigning team said that the preparations to launch his campaign are currently underway giving an estimated start date back in July and then again in October, of June 2023. However, Cooke's Presidential team have given a formal start date being September 15, 2023, which will allow him to have more than a year to campaign and garner support from voters across the nation. During his time as New Shire's 44th Governor, Cooke was instrumental in providing a strong candidate, seeking to become the popular candidate for President in 2024. He overtime, had begun establishing himself in the ranks of the Nationalist Party, and eventually, public support of the Governor of Jesstopia's Largest state grew to provide him a strong place in the Nationalist Party.

"Governor Thomas Cooke said that he plans on working towards launching his campaign in early-mid September 2023, but also pointed out the need to establish enough time for rallies, not only in New Shire, a key state that won Joe Diester the Presidency in 2020," said Lisa Darling, Campaign Rally Manager. "As we continue to plan his campaigning events, rallies, and speaking events, we are also considering where we can garner the most support and are starting with those places as a focal point, and Governor Linda Lee says she has fully invited Thomas Cooke to speak in her state and is asking North Lorrayans to open their arms and show their support for him."

But as aging Cooke prepares for a high-stakes, high-risk job, he also is reminded that his place in history rests on the votes of Nationalist Voters and the November 2023 Congressional Election which will seek to reseat several Congressional members. It is also an important election as it will decide whether the Republican party will grip control of one or both houses of Congress or if the Nationalist party will retain full control of Jesstopia's Congress.
