RUFUS - Governor Cooke has served as Governor since September 28, 2021. Over the course of the last year and two months, Governor Cooke endured more than any other Governor in the state’s history.
In his first month as New Shore’s 44th Governor, he was tasked with hunting down the person responsible for bombing a Product Mary store that killed 40 people. He managed to assemble a strong team to investigate it and bring the bomber to justice.
On July 21, 2022, he was instrumental in leading the State’s investigation into the bombing of the Nationalist House, which was later deemed a terrorist act. During the initial days of the investigation, he deployed the national guard to stand guard of the building while crews worked to repair it. He also aided in ensuring major roads leading to the building were blocked from civilian drivers.
On October 2, 2022, President McCallum honored Cooke’s quick actions during the investigation and in honor of his duty to his country by bestowing Cooke the Presidential Medal Of Great Sacrifice.
Lastly he is currently managing a severe snow that has killed thousands of people, by closing schools, colleges, and universities. He also ordered the immediate evacuation of multiple counties and cities, saving millions.
Although he has only served as Governor for a short time, he has done so much and that will likely boost his chances at winning the Presidency in 2024. According to recent New Shire State polls, Cooke is favored 25% more than his fellow Nationalists.
According the political analysts, Cooke is the top contender for the Presidency of the Nationalist Party. He has remained a strong favorite of the party and will be likely to keep their support.
Many high ranking Republican officials have praised Cooke for his hard work and quick action in response to multiple emergencies. The Republican Party has also issued that his actions have save lives and is praised heavily.
