NEWS 28 - President Jay Laylin and US President Donald Trump are set for a hours long meeting on the war in Ukraine as well as discussing ways to help rebuild Gaza after the war there. The two men will meet face to face for the first time during the meeting and the meeting will take place later in the afternoon.
The two presidents will discuss ways to ensure peace through strength and review Russia's attempts to make peace with Ukraine. The two men are also set to discuss other issues including the ongoing conflict in Israel, and ways they can support Israel in its fight against Hamas, even as hostages continue to be released.
"The president will meet with US President Donald Trump sometime tomorrow afternoon where both men will discuss various topics including ending the war completely between Ukraine and Russia," said Nationalist House Press Secretary Nancy Yates. "The meeting will also discuss ways to completely rebuild Gaza, and ensure global peace. That is a meeting that will take place, and those two men are the only ones who can speak for themselves during that meeting."
The president boarded Presidential one on his way to the meeting, and is set to arrive sometime tomorrow morning. President Laylin has been a ally of Donald Trump and defender of his agenda. This will be the first time both men are meeting face to face after speaking several time over the phone.
