NEWS 28 - President Jay Laylin says that sanctions against China are set to be extended for the next three years. He issued that China would likely face heavy tariffs if they continued to help North Korea build up its nuclear warchest.
President Laylin issued a statement regarding the extension of the sanctions, and China doesn't appear to be happy based on his statement regarding his call with President Xi Jinping after extending the sanctions.
"We must always put the global security of the world over our own selfish desires to have the largest nuclear war chest possible," said President Jay Laylin in a statement. "I expressed that the sanctions would extended and further action would take place if he were to continue with supporting Un's plans to build even more weaponry. The meeting was hardly progressive, and Xi seemingly didn't want to cooperate or hear out what I had to say."
The President is set to deliver his first remarks in person since the shooting last month on February 15. The president will also address his conversations then as well. President Xi is not likely to stop helping push for more nuclear weaponry in North Korea, and officials warn that high, high, high tariff's are on the way.
