President Jay Laylin set to return to work tomorrow, just 10 days after he was shot in the face prior to a speaking engagement in Towton, New Shire.
NEWS 28 - President Jay Laylin is set to return to work tomorrow morning, just 10 days after a shooter shot him in the face. The president will resume his duties, much to the awe of his supporters, but causing concern from his strongest allies. They fear that returning to work early will not allow him to completely recover from the shooting.
He is drawing praise from his critics as well as his supporters, for his dedication to the country, and wanting to get back to work. However, it has been announced that he is likely to have Vice President Cole Bindle travel to meet with foreign dignitaries overseas, and says that he will host several foreign heads of states at the Nationalist House.
The President is set to be back in the President's office tomorrow, and his schedule is unknown as of now. The Nationalist House Press Team says they are not ready to release his schedule, pending the President's approval. They did say they hope to have it released by Friday.
"We know that the President's schedule has been all over the place, and we are work as quickly as possible to ensure that the Jesstopian people are aware of the President's meetings and events," said Nancy Yates, NH Press Secretary. "We will continue to provide the necessary updates as we are able to provide. Several meetings are required to be excluded from the President's schedule for the safety and security reasons."
The President hasn't issued a statement yet regarding his return to the Nationalist House, but sources close to the president did say he was grateful for the support and looked forward to returning to work hard for the people of the United States Of Jesstopia.
