RUFUS - President Jay Laylin's 2024 Inflation Reduction Act has been passed the House and is now headed to the Senate who is scheduled to vote on the act on Friday. The act passed with majority support, and was passed 299-212. The act will now be sent to the House Transfer Committee, who will send the bill to the Senate.
House Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington said that he is pleased that his caucus could come together and agree that the inflation reduction act is a good thing for the whole of the United States Of Jesstopia and not just part of the country.
"I am beyond pleased with the outcome of this vote," said Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington. "Republicans and Nationalists put their differences aside to vote for something that will shape the future of this countries economy. The bill was written really good, and the Nationalist caucus was very happy with everything that was included in it. I know that the Republicans whole heatedly supported the bill from the beginning and so they voted for it. 85 of my fellow Nationalists supported the bill as well. We have work to do to vote on more legislation and we will continue to do that. Now its up to the Senate to vote on the bill their selves."
"I am very pleased that the act passed the House, because that was the major hurdle that we faced to get this act in place as quickly as possible," said President Jay Laylin. "I thank the 85 Nationalist Representatives for their support of ensuring we have the greatest economy on the planet, and for voting promptly on the bill."
Now that one of his proposals passed an majority House, it has been proven that he can get work done with cooperation with the Nationalist-led House and Senate. Now he must wait for the Senate to vote on the bill and if it passes the Senate, it could head to his desk sometime next week. However, Senate votes take longer than normal as Senators have staggered schedules and only meet once a week as a whole chamber.
