RUFUS - The Jesstopian House Of The People is set to vote on several bills, including the 2024 Inflation Reduction act proposed by President Jay Laylin in November, kicking off the first votes of the 84th Congress. The vote was pushed to the House floor by Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington, and will be voted on around 8:45 AM.
Carrington said that it was the first major legislation to be voted on during the new Congress, and said that reducing inflation played a major role in ensuring economic growth, lowering the cost of living within the United States Of Jesstopia as well as promoting the housing market, by making it more affordable to buy homes.
"The 2024 Inflation Reduction Act is one of the various bills the House will vote on tomorrow's session of the House, and we know that the economy has been a weak point for Nationalists, and it is time we get to work for Jesstopians," said Speaker Pro Tempore Matthew Carrington. "We are set to vote on the 2024 Inflation Reduction Act, the 2024 Government Transparency Act, and the 2024 Wasteful Government Spending Act. Others include several LGBTQ-related bills as well. But our main focus is cutting down our national debt, lowering inflation and making life more affordable for Jesstopians."
Representatives are set to meet for their first vote around 7:30 AM with the main vote taking place at 8:45 AM. It is expected that a reading of the bill will take place around 5:30 AM.
