President Jay Laylin Speaks With Border Agents At Mesa's Southern Border, on November 24, 2024.
RUFUS - President Jay Laylin has visited the border where he met with leaders of the Jesstopian Border Protection Agency and officials from the Department Of Border Security. The agents he spoke with gave him several of their main concerns, including the lack of support from high level leadership, and former President John McCallum.
The President then asked what they needed to be able to effectively do their jobs, and they all agreed that they needed more freedoms to detain and turn illegals back. The President said that he strongly agreed with that. He vowed to fund more programs that would allow border agents to do the jobs the sworn to do.
"The incredible folks that put their lives on the lines to defend our borders each and everyday, aren't being given the tools necessary to do their jobs," said President Laylin. "Former President John McCallum and his administration failed to get these folks the funding that they need to do their jobs. It is despicable and we need to give them everything that they need to be able to prevent the mass illegal immigration."
The President that agreed that he would need to send more funding to the border agency to allow them to create programs that would increase agent hiring, and promote strong border security. The President said that he will advise Congress to provide further funding to ensure border security.
"I will advise Congress that more funding for border security is required, to ensure that we can secure our borders," continued the President. "These folks will get the funding they need one way or the other, and if I need to shutdown the federal government to get it done, I will do that. Border security doesn't seem to be a top priority of the Nationalist Party. House Speaker LeWolf said that she would block any actions I do to work towards securing our border."
The President and Vice President are set to push forward with their border security policy and legislation that they hope will pass Congress quickly and without needing to override Congress through executive orders. The Nationalist House said that the president would sign emergency executive orders to push the funding through to the border.
"We thank each and everyone of you for what you do and want to say that the funding is coming to you, and we push our support behind you wholeheartedly. Let's get this border secure," finished President Laylin. "We will keep you all updated as to when you can expect that funding. Thank you so much."
