RUFUS - The Jesstopian Department Of Defense says that it won't hesitate to retaliate against Iran if it continues its attacks on Israel. Defense Secretary Corbyn Willard said that the US had already been in talks with Israel about future attacks but also issued that it wasn't sure if Iran would stabilize enough to bring about negotiations to end the fighting between itself and Israel.
"We have spoken with Israel prime minister and have issued that the United States Of Jesstopia would respond appropriately if Iran continued to attack Israel," said Defense Secretary Corbyn Willard. "Jesstopia would be prepared to retaliate against Iran if it doesn't end its missile strikes on Israel and if it doesn't agree to end the fighting altogether. Jesstopia would use missile launches to effect its military presence in the region."
President Jay Laylin has been strongly advised against any military aggression against a destabilized Iran. He cites that furthering tensions, would cause Iran to attack the United States Of Jesstopia. He also cited rising tensions in the Middle East.
"The Defense Department is looking to push forward with retaliatory efforts against Iran if he continues to attack Israel," said President Laylin. "Furthermore, Secretary Of Defense Willard says that it is essential to attack Iran if it continues its strikes against Israel. But I believe that it is important that we focus on ensuring global peace. If we push for retaliation, we risk Iran attacking the United States Of Jesstopia and that is something I can not allow to happen."
The President continued to say that he would not authorize the Jesstopian military to retaliate against Iran, for the sake of national security. He also cited that he would not put the lives of Jesstopian Service Members in risk for retaliatory sake.
"I am not going to risk the lives of our servicemen and servicewomen for the sake of retaliating against one of the largest terrorist producing nations, that could potentially attack out bases, country and military members," continued President Laylin. "We must think about this logically, and not move to quickly or hastily."
