NEWS 28 - Outgoing Jesstopian President John McCallum issued his final pardons, one of the final acts he will do as President. He will finish up signing final bills and release several dozen staff, who are no longer required. The pardon ceremony however, was a time for recipients to meet the person who ended their sentences, many thanking and applauding McCallum.
"I am pleased to announce that the 250 people here have received a presidential pardon from my office, and you folks deserve the peace of knowing that you are now officially released from your sentences," said President McCallum t. "These individuals were able to prove their innocence by the submission of evidence, documents and records. The Attorney General Of The United States Of Jesstopia have approved these pardon requests, and as such mailed the pardons out to you all, who are sitting in our audience here. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope you and your families enjoy what life has to hold for you."
The pardon ceremony is a ceremony that the President of the United States Of Jesstopia holds to publicly announce who has received a presidential pardon and honors these individuals for being wrongfully convicted, wrongfully prosecuted. The ceremony was held at the Nationalist House ball room.
