RUFUS - Yesterday, Cambridge Prime Minister Fredrick Ricketts met with President John McCallum during his final state visit to Jesstopia with McCallum as it's President. During the visit, Prime Minister Ricketts honored the outgoing president citing his nation's fondness of the Jesstopian President, who helped establish Cambridge as a nation back in 2021.
"Today marks the final time I will visit this great country, where Cambridge was born, and with John McCallum as it's President," said PM Fredrick Ricketts. "Today may mark the final time I will visit this country with McCallum in power, but this won't be the last time I will visit this country in search of stronger relations and agreements. We thank President McCallum for his support of our young nation and we look forward to what our nation will accomplish because of the help of President McCallum. Sir, we thank you for your years long service and support and we hope you enjoy time with your family when you leave office next month."
Both men met in the president's office where a series of meetings took place discussing the next steps after he(McCallum) leaves office next month. Other topics included discussing the way forward for Ukraine to defeat Russia as well as a way for Israel to defeat Hamas and Iran.
"We are committed to supporting Israel and Ukraine, as we prepare for a new administration to take over the Nationalist House next month," said President John McCallum. "I know that President-Elect Jay Laylin wants to help Ukraine and Israel defeat their enemies, as he has already expressed publicly. My hope is that while he focuses on that, he will continue to build up Jesstopian-Cambridge relations and I thank Prime Minister Fredrick Ricketts for his continued partnership for the last 3 and half years."
Jesstopia has retained strong relations with the country they helped build and establish, but said that it hopes that Cambridge will eventually break off independently and maintain a self-funded military, instead of relying on Jesstopian funding to maintain their military. The meetings also worked to establish self reliance agreements that would mandate that as one of Jesstopia's sovereign nations, it would need to ready itself for a forced independence from Jesstopia. These talks are still ongoing.
But the final state visit of Fredrick Ricketts with McCallum in power, really seemed more like a way for Cambridge to honor the man who helped establish them as a nation. The President received praise from the Cambridge government who has announced plans to honor him on his last day in office with a National day of celebration.
