NEWS 28 - Jay Laylin is now projected to win the Jesstopian Presidency, even as two states have yet to pledge their Vote Bank Points to either candidate. However, public voter data shows that Thomas Cooke is not receiving enough votes there to justify receiving those vote bank points.
"While there is still a chance Thomas Cooke could nab those Vote Bank Points, the number of votes right now compared to the number votes for Jay Laylin that have been reported, it is unlikely that Thomas Cooke could easily win those Vote Bank points, thus making it certain that Laylin will be the third and very first Republican President and Head of state of the United States Of Jesstopia."
"Cooke neglected those states while Laylin was there every other week sometimes being there multiple days of those weeks to campaign and meet with voters of both parties," said a Le Mont voter. "He showed up and expressed concern for voters of both parties and that really made a difference. He should be the next president. The Nationalists have gotten too comfortable with being in power due to the lack of challenge from the Republican party."
The projection is from the Vote Bank Commission, the organization that oversees how the vote bank points are sent to each candidate and to ensure they are lawfully being issued to the "right" candidate. The projection also came from the Federal Elections Board who is allowed to call the race with the consent and help of the Federal Election Board's official Certification Center.
"We can confidently say that Jay Laylin will be the next president of the United States Of Jesstopia," said Director Pauley Dayton. "We are now just waiting to make it officially with the certification of Le Mont and Porter's election board. That should come early tomorrow morning and we will announce when we know for sure."
