RUFUS - 2024 Republican Presidential nominee Jay Laylin has fired several members of his campaign staff and his campaign manager after they called a meeting to discuss the campaigns' discontent with Cole Bindle as his vice presidential running mate.
Campaign Manager Richard Valdez was fired by Jay Laylin and was replaced by Marcus Mitchell. Valdez was fired due to his role in attempting to oust Cole Bindle. According to staffers close to the campaign, Laylin did not authorize the Timothy Smith to hold a press conference to announce that they were working to oust Bindle from the race.
"The role that my team plays in this race is to support me and Cole Bindle on our mission to win the Nationalist House in October," said Jay Laylin. "If they can't support both of us, they have to place in my campaign and on my campaign team. That is why I fired Richard Valdez, Timothy Smith, and several other members of this campaign. I am please to have Marcus Mitchell who has pledged to support both our candidacies and will back Cole Bindle's vice presidency."
Jay Laylin has issued that members of the campaign who are against any candidate is against the entire campaign. He issued that anyone person who voices opposition to Cole Bindle will be immediately terminated from the campaign.
Calls for Bindle to step aside had mounted after concerns for his age and his readiness to take over the presidency if he was needed. But as calls for him to step aside, Jay Laylin voiced his support for Cole Bindle, even voicing his anger at the campaign team for considering ousting Bindle from the race.
