NEWS 28 - Former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul will be buried on his family farm tomorrow, even as heavy rains and thunderstorms expected. Paul will be buried next to his wife's empty plot on the family farm. He will be given his final rites, and will also have his casket blessed before it is lowered to its final resting place.
Paul's family is the only ones who will be authorized at the burial, and a heavy security presence is expected as President John McCallum makes his way to pay his respects to the late Governor. He is already in Mesa ahead of the burial service which is slated to kick off at 8:45 AM.
A procession will block major roadways as his body makes its way from the Governor's Mansion, where it is currently being held for protection to his family farm about 25 miles away. The Mesa Highway Patrol will be guarding his body as it makes its way to his final resting place.
The burial service will be lead by Pastor Gorgio DaVollio. Paul was of Christian faith and believed heavily in the rebirth of his soul. He was very into the Churches of Jesus Christ.
