PEACH TREE - Product Mart Stores Inc. Chief Executive Officer Henry Burton is expected to leave company sometime next year and his successor has yet be announced. But as he prepares to leave the company’s highest post, he will first shake up the leadership across the multiple brands and companies he oversees.
He also announced that Arrow Airlines and Y-Dot Airlines are going to be bought back by their respective holding companies before he leaves the company in 2025. The company announced that it has a few successors selected and will make its final decision sometime in August.
The company said in a Statement that it was looking to switch up leadership, including replacing Burton who is slated to leave the company in early January 2025, after four years with the company.
“Burton’s departure in January is putting pressure on us to find his replacement,” said company spokesperson Billy Tongan. “We have a few people as runner ups to replace him when he leaves. But at this time, we are also moving other pieces around to ensure that the brands have effective leadership when the major changes happen in January.”
The company announced last year that Burton would step down in early 2025, but didn’t say who would replace him as head honcho of the Product Mart brand. The company says it has a few candidates already in mind and are eyeing to see who would best be fit to replace Burton when he leaves the company in early 2025. Burton was hired to lead Product Mart Stores Inc in 2021.
“My successor should be internal, not external,” said Henry Burton. “The people within these walls know the brands we run and how they should be run. Several people are in my spotlight, as I have a final say in who will succeed me when I leave the company at the start of 2025. It will be someone from within our company.”
