PLATTSVILLE TIMES - Experts in Cameron, are urging and encouraging Governor Robin O'Keeffe to concede the election and congratulated David Spane after being delt a serious blow by the Cameron Supreme Court, who denied her motion to have Gubernatorial Election votes recounted and recertified. The State's Highest Court ruled that "the election was free and fair and the certification of the election stands."
"She needs to understand that we have the most secure elections in all of the world, and that even Adam Warner, her Lt. Governor said the election was called fairly," said Nick Gloucester, a reporter for News 28. "She should concede the election and congratulated David Spane. She is destroying her chance at a future term by not doing it. You never know, David Spane could suck and after two years she could be back in office."
Experts also say that by not conceding the election, she is not allowing for a peaceful transfer of power within the State Government. She is blatantly disregarding a process that has been used for hundreds of years.
"I am still waiting to hear from Governor O'Keeffe," said Governor-Elect David Spane. "I would like to invite her to my swearing in ceremony but it doesn't look I'll be able to, as she has yet to call me."
Governors across the country have called Governor O'Keeffe to remind her of the part of the oath she took to uphold the Constitution of both Jesstopia and Cameron when she was sworn in in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022. She is violating that by not conceding the election signalling that she is defying that oath.
