WASHINGTON, MESA - Adrressing state residents from temporary headquarters in Washington, Mesa, Governor Josh Adamson updated state residents saying that storms have progressed through Alden, and says that the Jesstopian Weather Service says more thunderstorms are expected in these counties.
”My office has just been advised that more thunderstorms and flooding are expected in Alden and Ashburn county today and we are continuing to monitor the flood levels,” said Governor Adamson. “We will also continue to monitor when storms are expected to stop or slow down.”
Governor Adamson relocated, temporarily, the Governor’s office to Washington, Mesa, where he continues to monitor storm movement, devastation and the death toll which has remained at zero since the storms started early yesterday morning.
Schools which have been closed since Thursday are also eager to find out how much destruction were caused to their school buildings.
Stores across the counties of Alden, Ashburn, and Diester counties all remain closed on Friday night issuing statements on their respective websites. Product Mart vowed to support displaced residents with food, clothing, water and basic medical supplies and to provide hotels for anyone still displaced by the storms.
The state is still being hammered by rain and thunder and residents worry that they’ll never be able to return home.
