JESSTOPIAN NEWS NETWORK - Former Governor And Vice President, Sam Simon has died after briefly battling brain and stomach cancer. He was 32 years old. His death has reverberated throughout the country as foreign nationals have sent their condolences to the Simon family as well as the President.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Former VP Sam Simon," tweeted the Nationalist House. "May he rest in peace, and may his family be comforted."
Simon was surrounded by family and friends when he drew his last breath. President McCallum has sent his condolences to the Simon family, as has Loretti, LeWolf, Carrington, and other Nationalist and Republican leaders.
The Federal Government is preparing for Simon's state funeral and flags are being flown at half mass in honor of the late Vice President. President McCallum ordered the national flags to be placed at half mass and in mourning colors across the nation. Governor Lee announced that all state flags shall remain at half-mass until the day of Simon's internment at the Nationalist House Memorial Burial Grounds.
