RUFUS - Vice President Sam Simon was rushed to the hospital after collapsing this morning, and is in critical condition. According to a report, he began feeling ill at around 12:15 AM, but collapsed after getting up to use the bathroom. Emergency surgery is currently ongoing and he will likely be in the hospital for the next few days.

According to his Second Honorable Lady Karen Simon, he began experiencing severe abdominal pain, and vomiting, and was rushed to the Nationalist House Medical Center, where she said he is receiving medical care.

Simon was in a serious car accident back in October, and she says doctors believe that complications from the surgery back in October could be causing tears in his intestines.

The Nationalist House has not made any comment regarding his prognosis, and they haven't issued if Simon would resign early to ensure his health is taken care of. Simon is leaving office on January 1, 2023, so it is unlikely that he will try to leave his duties early.

Simon is expected to be okay, but his recovery may take a few months, with him unlikely to return to work before his resignation as Jesstopia's 3rd Vice President takes effect.
