ALDEN - After a shooting that left 5 church attendees dead, the residents of Mesa are wondering if the State needs stronger leadership, stronger laws, or a stronger police presence. The shootings come almost a month after the gang related shootings that left a gang boss dead and hundreds of innocent civilians dead.
"The State Of Mesa is doing what it can for us." said a resident. "Unfortunately, there is so much that it can do. Stronger police presences will just continue to anger the people committing the atrocities. What we need is armed citizens who are law abiding, mentally stable and licensed to carry firearms."
The residents say that they are tired of the shootings that have ravaged the State since 2021, when Kirk Paul took over as the State's 19th Governor.
"Governor Paul needs to do more, or leave the office." said several State Senate Nationalists. "He has thus far, done a horrible job at responding to these events and addressing the real problem."
Many Republicans have even agreed with this position.
"We need stronger leadership both in State Government, but as well as the law enforcement leadership." said a State official. "We are tired of seeing Mesians dying in senseless tragedies like the one yesterday at an Alden Church."
Several prominent Nationalists have called for the resignation of Governor Kirk Paul and to allow better leadership to take over and suppress these tragedies, instead of putting them on the back burner.
"I think Paul needs to resign." said Senate Minority Leader Robert Gleeson. "He has shown us that he can no longer lead this State. He should also consider dropping out the the 2024 Presidential Campaign."
The State is also expecting to launch an investigation into the Governor's response to the gang violence and several other shootings that have occurred while he has been Governor.
