On August 23, 2021, Vice President Richard Banks was speaking to a group of Nationalist Party members and constituents. During the conference, many people asked about whether or not Banks would run for the Presidency in 2024. He told reporters that “at this time, It is not an appropriate time to answer those questions”, leading many reporters to speculate whether his intentions are to run in 2024.

Banks who will serve out his term as Vice President until November 16, 2024, when President John McCallum leaves office. Banks would be a promising candidate to run for the President as he has worked with two Presidents, which will give him a larger advantage to winning the Presidency.

While Banks hasn’t given a definite answer, eventually he will release a statement regarding it.
